Tippecanoe and Taylor, Too Episode Discussion
Rory and Dean find it increasingly difficult to be alone together due to their distant living arrangement and the fact that he is sharing a car with his estranged wife. Impulsively, Rory asks Dean if he only left Lynsey because she found Rory's letter, and is not completely satisfied with his response. Lorelai and Sookie run Jackson's campaign when he decides to run against Taylor for Town Selectman. Lane tells her band-mate Zach that she has feelings for him.

Oh, this show just scored major points. Anything that plays "Believe It or Not" is awesome.
Also? I love the title. |

I didn't really like this episode, but I actually kinda already knew that. Like when I heard what it was gonna be about I was like oh...kay. Next week looks amazing though. Lmao. I used to be addicted to BOP IT...except what they are playing looks like BOP IT on steroids.

*gets down on knees* Pleasseeeee, Jared. Get another job!
L/L are too cute for words, but the writers are still being teases and not giving us enough. This whole episode felt like filler to me. ETA: Who else can't help but think of Seinfeld and George's answering machine??? __________________

It was funny though I wish there where more LL moments. There was too much Royr and Dean moments and well Sookie and Jackson where kinda too cute it was sickneing. I liked the eppy but it is not going to be one of my favs..
Runs from the thrown tomatos.... I can't waite till next weeks eppy it looks really good. Luke and Dean fighting and he being obvous that he doen't like Dean by saying "does he have to be all over her like that" It seems like next week will be fun. __________________

I have to agree, this episode seemed like a lot of filler to me. I didn't really get a sense that the plot was moving that much throughout, although it did have it's moments.
Liked 1. Sookie again. She has been toward the top of my list all season so far! I loved her politcal hairdo and suit. She really channeled a politician's wife. And I thought the homage to the Gore's steamy kiss was hilarious! 2. I love how ASP an Co. can make me hate Taylor to the point where I hate watching him and then make him a truly sympathetic/pathetic character only to turn him into a jerk again. 3. Gypsy's line about Taylor, "He's our Papa Doc!" So funny! 4. Paris asking how loud Rory was. Completely inappropriate and so Paris! 5. Lane's staright-forward throwing it out there feelings declaration to Zach. Way to put it out there. Maybe he'll stop acting like such a jerk now. 6. The band's rendition of Believe or Not. 7. Lorelai seeking Luke out at the end of the episode. 8. The promo!!! Luke and Dean having a knock-down, drag down over Bop-It? Awesome! 9. Lorelai's not to subtle "You've got class" comment to Rory. Didn't so much like 1. That was a "cozy" breakfast between Luke and Lorelai? Didn't look cozy to me. I had a funny feeling that might be the teaser. I'm sad to say I was right. 2. Lack of Luke. I know this is Gilmore Girls, but Luke has slowly become my favorite character. It felt empty without him being around. 3. What's up woth Dean's voice lately? It seems so husky and wrong. It's like he's speaking differently or something. 4. No Emily or Richard. This episode was fun. it was nice to see Taylor get his, but it didn't seem to advance the plot other than to illustrate how hard it is to date a married man. I suppose it allowed character development for Jackson and Sookie, but I don't know. After last week's episode it seemed not as interesting. However, next week looks great. I can't wait for the tension! __________________

Lorelai: Extremely. Shirtless/Naked Luke supporter --- My dear little librarian, pile up enough tomorrows and you'll find you've collected nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays. I don't know about you, but I'd like to make today worth remembering. Last edited by daydreamer4; 10-13-2004 at 12:16 AM |

I just want to mention how much I loved the teaser! Even though tonight's episode was sort of at the bottom of the barrel, that opening scene made it all worth it
