The Meaning Behind Sophies
This is a play off of Logan's Master and Commander comment to Rory for what she should call him from episode 5.03 Written in the Stars.

For those who have not read Patrick O'Brian's novels about Jack Aubrey - Master and Commander is the first.

The squared-rigged ship that Aubrey is Master and Commander of is called Sophie. Those that crew in her refer to themselves as Sophies. It is the ship where Jack Aubrey first makes his name.

So, it is in that spirit that those who ship the Master and Commander and His Lady be known as: Sophies.

You Know You Are An Addicted Sophie when:
1) There is never enough R/L interaction.
2) Withdrawl can be lethal.
3) It causes dillusions, hysteria, visualization of pretty colors, extreme emotions, & other symptoms.
4) Once you start, you can't stop.
5) Prolonged Sophieness can cause one to feel alienated from loved ones and peers, thus causing them to spend large amounts of time on the boards just to feel part of a larger group.
6) Use of terms and overactive imagination/gushing can cause weird looks from Non-Sophies.
7) A selfhelp group might be necessary (eventually).
8) You've watched the R/L scenes so much, when you see a music video of them and theyre talking, you say their lines.
9)You can liken anything (pop culture, food, personal expirience, etc...) to R/L and actually have it make sense... to both oneself and others.
10) You have tendencies towards obsessiveness and/or dirtymindedness that are usually associated with Matt, Naked!Logan, etc.
11) You have a strange fascination with the

12) You develop psychic bonds with your fellow Sophies.
13) You can't go for more than a half hour without a Sophies avie.

Someone asked on the last thread if someone isn't listed on tv tome, does that mean they're not in the episode?
To that i would say... tv tome does not have the best reputation of being entirely reliable, i'm pretty sure that before Say Something he wasn't listed as appearing in that episode, but then we were all surprised (I might be wrong). I think he might be in the episode in question. That's a dang long Logan hiatus we have to deal with if he's not.

I don't know. It's not like ASP put them on the cover, so I think we shouldn't make such a big deal out of it. It's nice of course, both the L/L and R/L covers, but hey, that's just because the show is at this point right now. There's nothing we can take from putting them on the cover IMO.
