| Season Two Appreciation 2 Welcome! I thought that most of Season 2 really paled in comparison to Season 1, but I'm a huge fan of the first nine episodes or so and I would love to have a place to discuss them. So, here's your Season 2 Appreciation thread  101 Reason Why We Love Season Two 1. Because there was tons of stuff going on in the world, big stuff, like Balkans 2. Because papers make Lorelai's hands black 3. Because the bridemaids should be able to pick their own dresses 4. Because everyone knows that Luke has a thing for Lorelai 5. Because the whole town should be medicated and put in a rec room with ping pong tables and hand puppets 6. Because Luke was all prepared to jump up and down if necessary 7. Because a coupon can is not as good as a coupon drawer 8. Because Kirk passed out 9. Because there's something so poetic about banking at a place where the teller can't count 10. Because Lorelai said yes 11. Because they were just really jazzed about the whole three percent thing 12. Because Lorelai was going to be a sadie 13. Because Jackson's the normal vegetable guy, not the romantic vegetable guy 14. Because can you say Hyung-hyung? 15. Because Lorelai picked spumoni 16. Because anything with the word "Foxy" on it is a big crowd pleaser 17. Because it was decided, breaking up was not for Rory and Dean 18. Because the Putin arms race thing was really getting crazy 19. Because too much taffeta gives Lorelai cotillion flashbacks 20. Because apparently, you're supposed to order your wedding dress the first day of junior high, and if you haven't, it's off the rack for you missy 21. Because Rory's cure for cancer was almost finished 22. Because Princess Grace didn't go to college 23. Because Rory has multiple personalities 24. Because Rory loves dirt, she collects it 25. Because Max's mother offered Lorelai her wedding dress 26. Because there was no pink icing left on the planet 27. Because ethics are highly subjective and completely overrated 28. Because photography is Kirk's passion 29. Because you don't eat dinner at a bachelorette party 30. Because Luke made Lorelai a chuppah 31. Because what is a road trip without tunes? 32. Because Lorelai's sense of adventure did not translate to her offspring 33. Because when Lane got off the plane, she kissed the tarmac 34. Because Luke was being a pickleschnitz...er...schnickelfritz 35. Because Luke has no patience for jam hands 36. Because Jess just wanted to put some notes in the margins for Rory 37. Because the cake's actually good 38. Because there is nothing in the world Emily is better at than getting someone to agree to something that in any other universe, they would never ever consider 39. Because all of Lorelai's regular 976 numbers were busy 40. Because Luke's flirted with Lorelai numerous times 41. Because Monosyllabic Man strikes again 42. Because Emily's a paranoid woman 43. Because Lorelai was wearing underwear with propellers on them 44. Because Rory got busted for bell ringing 45. Because Richard likes weird food 46. Because Emily's had bad days too 47. Because we felt bad for the fascist ice cream maker 48. Because Lorelai became a casual dater 49. Because Tristan might have kissed Rory goodbye 50. Because Lorelai's got Luke Topic Starter What was your favorite mother/daughter scene? My favorite Lorelai/Rory scene was probably Lorelai waking Rory up in Red Light on the Wedding Night and climbing into bed with her, although I also loved when they were jumping up and down, giddy and excited at Emily and Richard's when Lorelai signaled to Rory that she had accepted Max's proposal. | oh my goodness i'm so excited for the season 2 set.. i have to wait until christmas to get it, because my fiance is buying it for me..  but at least we have it on ABC Family every day.. yay!! so far my two favorite mother/daughter scenes are the psat scene in the diner, "no, verbal's my thing." haha.. and the emily/lorelai scene where lorelai is mad that emily never cared.. so touching.. just my two cents.. thanks! | |||

| OMG, how could I not mention those poignant Lorelai/Emily moments in HAV? They're only my all-time favorite scenes of the season! I guess I was just thinking of happy moments, but yes, the Lorelai/Emily scenes in Episode 2 are definite faves. | |||

| I loves me some season 2. Dana's My Middle Name, you surely nailed some of the best mother/daughter scenes in S2. A few favorites (dramatic): -Rory and Lorelai's argument in Roadtrip to Harvard. (The kiss on the cheek and the morning after make-up, equally enjoyable.) -Lorelai and Emily's argument over Sherry taking Rory out, thus leading to Emily's breakdown and confession that she still had hopes for a Chrisopher/Lorelai reunion in It Should've Been Lorelai. God I love that scene. -Rory and Lorelai at the end of Red Light on the Wedding Night. (From "Are you and Max getting married?" to the very end, complete with the most perfect "Sam Cue" ever.) __________________ Oh, what have you done now? Nothing. I just--well, I'm putting the bunny back with his little friends and I just sort of massacred them a little bit, but that's life in the jungle isn't it? | |||

| Season One was setting us up, we were meeting the characters. Season Two just developed them more...more back story and progress with relationships. I must say Season Two rivals Season One in every way. Have to add....Season Five....terrific! __________________ Booth: Alright.
