Yeah, you can definitely tell that ASP was messing with everyone in S6.

I'm so curious as to the story she wanted to tell/would've told had she done S7.

That's my opinion too, even though I didn't like it (and it broke my L/L shipper heart).

Yeah I didn't like it either apart from the fact that any CL relationship in the future is bound to not happen anymore

I just read that Lauren thought it was out of character...
I'm surprised she's talking about it like that since she was a producer herself on the show in its last season.

I found it interesting to recently read a comment from Amy that Rory's ending was the thing that was the most different from her original vision, because I always thought that the show ended very strongly for Rory when she rejects Logan's proposal so that she could go off and do her own thing in journalism. It felt like a very Rory ending, so it makes me wonder what Amy had planned that would have been so different from that

And who knows what Amy was originally planning with Lorelai, Luke, and Christopher

I hope Amy really got to end it the way she wanted it now. Somehow, the final 4 words were still possible/relevant.

THIS. I think everyone has the ability to act OOC when we're emotionally distraught or going through a tough time. Makes complete sense to me.

Having said this, I do think seeing her date & marry Chris OBVIOUSLY on the rebound from Luke was incredibly frustrating to watch!

I think the ultimatum and sleeping with Chris was the proper amount of distraught OOCness, the continuing of a relationship/getting married part was just extra. After all the terrible things he's done I just don't know why she would've wanted to be with him in that way. He was never there for Rory, he constantly bailed on her etc.

At that moment in time, he was everything she wished Luke had been. He was there and he wanted her. She had been (feeling) rejected for so long. And Rory was off in college, so I don't think that factored in as much as it would have had Rory been living at home.
