Okay I better get this thread hopping then. I mean, it's the perfect time to ask people if they miss season 5, I surely do.

^I'm definately with you on that, I love both season 4 and 5 because they were perfectly even with everything. Nothing was too overdramatic or overfunny or overlyboring. Everything (like you said) was perfectly messured. :)

I was watching some LL cips from season 5 before and i just miss that season sooo much. It was just sooo well done. I love every moment of it. And now in S7 its like everything Lorelai has done or said in season 5 is just totally ignored and forgoten this season and i blame it all on DR!
|
I want season five back, do you hear me DR!?!
|
all i can say about season 5: PERFECT!!!

It was a much better balanced season., all around. In fact, it was the last season that made sense. It's where my DVDs end. Still wish they hadn't spoiled it - as season 6 and now 7 drag on, I find it hurts more and more just to even remember the 'good old days.'

I know that practically only JJs appreciate it here so much right now, but even the Sophies can't say a bad word cause they got their precious Logan during this season.. so everyone are happy

Even the sad scenes that year, when things went badly, didn't feel sour like the way it is now. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i1...bon1_small.gif |
Being a JJ fan and a Sophies fan, this was really a good season for me.. :)

I think season 6 didn't feel as bad as this year does because we watched with more hope then, assuming there was a reason for what was happening. But even the R/L reconciliaton in season 6 turned out to be contrived. Soapy bedside hospital reconciliation? puh-leese. Whether or not you felt an R/L reconciliation was organic, the way it happened was totally unsatisfying - as was the reset button that ended the Rory rift. Eh, I digress. But season 5 is the last solidly good memory I have from what this show used to be. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i1...bon1_small.gif |
I'm going to say that I find this season not that bad as most people here, and compared to last season I find it just as good, and I liked season 6. The thing about S7 is that they are moving things a bit faster again.
Then again I'm easy to please when it comes to TV shows  Quote:

One of the things that I didn't like about S5 was how quickly L/L were back to happy again... I'm glad they got back together again in SGT but we went from kissing in the door to coffee in the diner. And after that there was no word about the break up anymore. I didn't really feel like they talked things through and that was a shame.. |

Being a fan of of both seasons 5 and 6, I dont think anything was written wrong, I love season 6, I like the drama because it was different for the show. I liked the storyline even if it was depressing, I liked how everything took a long time time to solve cause it was more realistic and it kept you on your toes and watching. I just liked how it was written. I prefure season 5 of course but I think that the writers did an amazing job on both seasons. Having the same old thing every season would be dumb and boring.
