Okay I better get this thread hopping then. I mean, it's the perfect time to ask people if they miss season 5, I surely do.

this was the best season! you have no idea how much I miss it  surprisingly, not cause of LL :P There was action, there was drama, there was comedy and everything perfectly messured together

go_clo 12-30-2006 09:53 AM

^I'm definately with you on that, I love both season 4 and 5 because they were perfectly even with everything. Nothing was too overdramatic or overfunny or overlyboring. Everything (like you said) was perfectly messured. :)

stephrox 12-30-2006 10:02 AM

I was watching some LL cips from season 5 before and i just miss that season sooo much. It was just sooo well done. I love every moment of it. And now in S7 its like everything Lorelai has done or said in season 5 is just totally ignored and forgoten this season and i blame it all on DR!

smeagolkitten 12-30-2006 01:55 PM

I want season five back, do you hear me DR!?!

colorblind 12-30-2006 02:17 PM

I second that, Lorelai actually was *mad* at Dopey for something and didn't wanna talk to him... ah, those were the days... and even came up with the nickname

It was a much better balanced season., all around. In fact, it was the last season that made sense. It's where my DVDs end. Still wish they hadn't spoiled it - as season 6 and now 7 drag on, I find it hurts more and more just to even remember the 'good old days.'

that's realistic, the whole season was realistic, and i'm not saying it just cause of LL being together.
and i think that s5 has the best ratings so far, right? or maybe s1 has the best?

go_clo 12-30-2006 04:34 PM

I think it may be season 5 but I'm not sure.

The highest post season 5 was for NAIL (6.01 premiere) which brought in 6.22m and 6.10 (6.3m) and stayed pretty high until 6.12. Then it went downhill - I wonder why ASP??? Maybe because thats when the characters started acting OOC and the whole April thing happeend.

I didn't like LL breaking up either, but WBB was a classic episode. I know it was the 100th and they pulled out all the stops - but still. It's so long since we've seen anything even half as good.
