I have mixed feelings about S3... There are some episodes I can watch again and again... others, not so much.

I'm pretty much the same way. My favorite episode are, The Big One, Haunted Leg despite some aspects, Happy Birthday Baby, Take the Devil eggs, and the one where they go to Yale I don't remember the title. I also like Strings Pinnochio Rory graduation was sweet.

I love season 3 through and through. It's kind of sad how one character can make the show for me. Do I have to say who that is?

...oh, who is that character?

I wouldn't say I just love, love S3 for Jess but him on the show was always like ..my favorite part of the show. He is such an amazing character, so sexy and smart ..and complicated and complex.

I can understand liking the season for one character but I don't understand why like S3 for Jess they ended so badly in that season and before that they had to deal with her being with Dean and him with Shane its just seems to disjointed for me to really enjoy it so I don't really get why Lits enjoy S3 I get liking S2 for R/J but not S3. It just a curious question.

I really like S3 for LIT because it was all a part of their journey - it showed how much Jess needed to find himself - even when he and Rory finally were together. It's just my love for his screwed up/amazing character. And I love how even through their problems, which can ANNOY me so much sometimes when I'm watching the episodes and I think of how the writers wasted precious time, it's just them. They challenge each other.

^^ Interesting perspective. I get super frustrated/depressed watching R/J and the R/J/D triangle which is why parts of this season irritate me. Before they were together, I wanted to like Rory/Jess as a couple, and I tried to look past his interferences with Rory/Dean, but then during S3 I never really felt the love. But it's interesting hearing the other side.

However, I can certainly appreciate having Jess around because of any Jess/Luke interaction! Seriously... in my opinion, they were one of the best, funniest, and complicated relationships on this show! Even at the end of the season with their huge fight and Luke saying he had to leave... I found it heartbreaking because they obviously cared about each other underneath the anger. I love their scenes.

Luke/Jess are one of my favorite relationships from any TV show ever. I don't know, there's something so special about them. They can be so utterly hilarious or heartbreaking or angering. I always just really loved them. I loved when they went to go see the "swan"

The triangle got irritating, very much so at times. Especially since in S2 they built RJ up so much and how they connected and go one another. I felt like in S3 they had so many problems just thrown in there because they wanted Jess to have a spinoff or create TV drama or keep Jared on the show, etc. It was ircking. But I have to step back and enjoy the moments we got because as a MAJOR RJ fan, we got some beautiful and amazing moments. Especially when I place them on their journey - they mean more. And I have to look at it from a character standpoint

I loved the Luke/Jess relationship as well, Jenny and Courtney. I agree with what both of you said about them.
