| Season Two Appreciation - Just Here To Hang Welcome to the Season 2 Appreciation Thread at FF! While many would say that Season 2 paled in comparison to Season 1, it was still an amazing season filled with humor, romance and great drama. It's one of my favorite seasons of any show and I hope that people who feel the same way as I do will come and post here! 101 Reason Why We Love Season 2 1. Because there was tons of stuff going on in the world, big stuff, like Balkans 2. Because papers make Lorelai's hands black 3. Because the bridemaids should be able to pick their own dresses 4. Because children will know what their parents think they can handle 5. Because everyone knows that Luke has a thing for Lorelai 6. Because the whole town should be medicated and put in a rec room with ping pong tables and hand puppets 7. Because Luke was all prepared to jump up and down if necessary 8. Because a coupon can is not as good as a coupon drawer 9. Because Kirk passed out 10. Because there's something so poetic about banking at a place where the teller can't count 11. Because they were just really jazzed about the whole three percent thing 12. Because Lorelai was going to be a sadie 13. Because Jackson's the normal vegetable guy, not the romantic vegetable guy 14. Because can you say Hyung-hyung? 15. Because Lorelai picked spumoni 16. Because anything with the word "Foxy" on it is a big crowd pleaser 17. Because it was decided, breaking up was not for Rory and Dean 18. Because the Putin arms race thing was really getting crazy 19. Because too much taffeta gives Lorelai cotillion flashbacks 20. Because apparently, you're supposed to order your wedding dress the first day of junior high, and if you haven't, it's off the rack for you missy 21. Because Rory's cure for cancer was almost finished 22. Because Princess Grace didn't go to college 23. Because Rory has multiple personalities 24. Because Rory loves dirt, she collects it 25. Because Max's mother offered Lorelai her wedding dress 26. Because there was no pink icing left on the planet 27. Because ethics are highly subjective and completely overrated 28. Because photography is Kirk's passion 29. Because you don't eat dinner at a bachelorette party 30. Because Luke made Lorelai a chuppah 31. Because what is a road trip without tunes? 32. Because Lorelai's sense of adventure did not translate to her offspring 33. Because when Lane got off the plane, she kissed the tarmac 34. Because Tristan might have kissed Rory goodbye 48. Because Lorelai's got Luke 49. Because Paris periodically makes a whirring noise and then just shuts down 50. Because guess who wins by default? 51. Because PSATs are like the Baby Gap 52. Because verbal's Lorelai's thing 53. Because maybe Rory needs a major mud bath/salt glow/chill pill combo 54. Because the Gilmore house was a bug-infested smorgasbord for a while there 55. Because coffee's a must 56. Because Emily's good 57. Because Lorelai planned to be buried with all the good CD’s and her rock star belt 58. Because it’s pretty common knowledge that diners are breeding grounds for prostitution and drug dealers 59. Because Rory owed Jess an eggroll 60. Because Lorelai decided that she was saving herself for William Holden 61. Because Patty doesn't actually need another husband 62. Because Dean had a PowerBar 63. Because Jackson thought that he and Sookie should get married 64. Because as long as everything is exactly the way Lorelai wants it, she's totally flexible 65. I always have a tough time with this one, but for now, I'm going with Like Mother, Like Daughter. It was just such a classic and I loved each and every storyline. It really focused on what the show is all about, which is mother/daughter relationships. The season premiere would be a close second and third though  Enjoy! Season 2 is my favorite season and N&N/S&N is my favorite episode. So many great moments- Lorelai and Emily at the end of TTR, the proud looks on Richard and Emily's faces at Lorelai's graduation, Luke throwing Jess into the lake, Lorelai watching the cavemen on stage in RALB and asking if they should get Luke to interpret [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] What's everyone's top 10 list of their favorite 'moments' from season 2? __________________ -Kelly | |||

| My favorite season 2 episode has to be either Like Mother, Like Daughter or Sadie, Sadie. Favorite moments: 1. Chris and Lorelai's dance in PLG. I have to wipe the steam off of my tv whenever I watch that scene. 2. Lorelai and Luke's discussion at the end of Run Away, Little Boy. Luke's expression melts my heart everytime. John Stephens needs to write more episodes. 3. Rory and Lorelai at Harvard - I have a soft spot for this episode because it was my very first GG episode ever. I thought that Lorelai was hilarious with her Valley Girl/Happy Days slang. 4. Mia's visit in TIAOOI. Her scene with Emily gives me chills. 5. Lorelai going to Rory's bed in RLOTWN. It's impossible for me to watch that scene and not laugh or smile. 6. Paris convincing Rory to run for Student Government. Madeline and Louise are so funny in that scene too. ("Somebody thought that you would make a good Halloween mask.") 7. Rory's rant in LMLD Headmaster C.'s office. I think this shows us the real Rory. Yeah, she's a little anti-social but she's happy the way she is. 8. The realistic fight between Rory and Lorelai in Secrets and Loans. 9. The teaser for RISH. "Aunt Cecile and those awful jokes!") 10. Max/Lorelai/Rory on the phone in SS. ("Put Cujo on the phone.") I really hope that we get a season 2 DVD soon. | |||

| Kelly-You're very welcome [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] I was really only adding reasons that come from quotes. But, if you can think of a Jess quote that might be good, I'd be happy to add it. Hmm, my 10 best scenes are probably the following: 1) Lorelai and Max's engagement party (I hope that counts as one scene) 2) Lorelai climbing into bed with Rory 3) Lorelai and Emily's big fight in Hammers and Veils 4) Lorelai and Emily's final scene in Hammers and Veils 5) Lorelai and Luke's phone conversation in Lost and Found and her coming over to look at the apartment as well 6) Rory's speech to Charleston in LMLD 7) Lorelai and Emily's fashion show sequence in LMLD 8) Lorelai and Luke's final scene in RALB 9) Sookie telling Lorelai that Luke is waiting for her in RALB 10) Lorelai telling Rory that she's not marrying Max. | Season 2 is probably my favorite season, season 3 is very close but I think Season 2 had better quality episodes and it was very suspenseful for me. Season 2 was the season that got me obsessed with Gilmore girls and made me tape every episode so I owe it all to season 2. Plus it was the season where Jess came. My favorite episode from this season is very hard to pick so my top 3 are: There's The Rub, I Can't Get Started, and A Tisket A Tasket. Top 10 Moments: 1. Where Rory kisses Jess 2. Luke and Lorelai stand under the Chuppah(sp?) 3. Rory and Jess' late night phone call in ATAT 4. Paris yelling at the people in Spanish 5. Emily and Lorelai dancing in the fashiom show 6. When Lorelai gives Luke the "Mrs. Baseball Cap" speech 7. Rory and Jess' conversation in the car in TMT 8. Lorelai and Dean staring at R/J from outside the diner in TTR 9. | Season 2, definitely my second favorite season. The dialogue was still way up there in quality. Some of my favorite moments.          Eh, I'll stop. That's from about the first half of the season. I love Sadie, Sadie, I just think its such an intense episode that really shines out in the S2 season. The season couldn't have started better with the premiere of SS and HAV. The first few episodes were probably the best in my opinion, but I still say that There's the Rub was my favourite overall [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Lots of Love! I think my fave episode is "A Tisket A Tasket" cause I loved the Sookie/Jackson stuff and my heart really broke for Lane when Henry broke it off with her.
