BarkMyer on the SP board, uploaded a recent phone interview with SP where he also answered some fans' questions regarding GG. Here's a transcript of the part about a possible reunion movie:

"Well, I've been contacted by a number of sources. I can't reveal too many and I don't want to start any rumors, but they asked me if I would be interested in doing a reunion movie and I said you know, look, Amy Sherman Palladino's writing it, I'd do the phone book for her, so."

Gotta love that Scott is up for the movie (with ASP) I want to hear from Lauren and the others now. Maybe her NBC deal will come to nothing and she'll be up for it in a year, is Alexis doing much now?

I wonder who these sources are. That's interesting. It's certainly some movement on the movie front.

And maybe we could top this thread again, now that there's one space open? I don't know, just wondering ... although it hasn't had much activity.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. I think it would be ok if it was topped even with little to no activity cause we still have alot of good stuff in the first post for people to refer to and take a look at. It would show that not all GG fans have lost hope and are still fighting for what we can get.

No pressure though if the mods don't want too.

That's the importance of this thread - it's mostly for updates and contact info and less for discussion, IMO, so people can still sign the petition and send letters, etc.
From encountering some blogs online, it seems there are quite a few GG fans who didn't realize the show was over and are now just finding out, surprised that it's not on the fall schedule (obviously they're not rabid fans, like those of us on forums, lol). So a thread like this can help spread the word in case those do start checking out forums and want to do something to get the GG movie.

Yeah, I hope those sources SP's referring to aren't just nosy TV reporters, lol, but actual production/studio/management people involved with the possible project.

Yea it's sad how many people we've all come across asking when the new season starts. It's devastating how many people had to hear the news from a bunch of commenters/users on the site.

It's not right that people are only just finding this stuff out. Fans of a show should know at least half way through the season that it's the last season. Not 2 episodes before! How horrible is it that so many people watched the last episode and had no idea it was the end?!

That's bad if people still don't know GG has ended, I wonder if they are still in denial or just assumed given the ending it was going on.

Plus what does it say for the CW marketing dept if people don't know SP is doing a new show, what it's the same network?

Also, do I start it just like any other new thread, and it'll still stay topped?
