would represent! Also, glad I could inadvertantly tip you off to the Great Mandate....I just randomly put that in my LJ, but yay for randomness helping!

Like most GG fans, I have my list of why the show should continue but I'll save that for a later post....

For now though--all I can say is what they said at gilmoregirlsnews.com--help get those ratings higher! Encourage friends and family to tune in or at least leave the tv on the CW at 8pm Tuesdays, lol. I found guilt works, lol. I think ratings did slightly go up this week...anyone know for sure? Anyhoo...thanks for the thread! We need a S8!

Not sure if you are aware of this but MaryKris is writing a paper on To what extent has "Gilmore Girls" influenced your life? and opened a topic thread on this board entitled To what extent has "Gilmore Girls" influenced your life?.

Everyone has been sharing such wonderful stories on the tread about Gilmore Girls and how it touch their life between their relationships with friends and family to fan encounters,to writing fanfiction, to making GG Videos, to meeting friends as a result of the GG Board and show.

So I was thinking you know what would be a really cool idea if we could put together all of these wonderful stories of our thoughts about how GG has infulenced our life in so many ways and send it to the CW and to the Gilmore Girls cast as a tribute to Gilmore Girls in how much the show infulenced all of us being this might be there last season. It might be a beautiful way to say goodbye to Gilmore Girls and to the cast and know how much they have touched us over the years!

^Thats a wonderful idea, I wanted to do something like that when I email/mail the CW so it would be good to get others to do it as well. It may also help keep it on the air another season and if not, It would make (like you said) a really good goodbye to the people involved on the show!

I added the mailing list to the first post so pleeeeease use it. According to spoilerfix.com, we only have 3 months before the season finale and thats not very much time at all! We really gotta get our butts moving and start sending and emailing like there is no tomorrow!!!! (or more specifically, like there is no S8 GG!!!)

Don't know if people are aware of this....but apparently the CW is aware of the Great8Mandate & said they'd send an announcement out no later than May 17th (network Up Fronts)

Although I've also heard that they'd know far beyond this since filming of 19 is already started. (film dates are ok to post here, right?)

Anyhoo, thought people would like to know!

^Yea I heard that. I'm so nervous to hear what is the verdict is. I'm both nervous and anxious actually!

I hope everything turns out the way we want it too.

So wow they're filming episode 19? (yes I think thats aloud) Geez then they for sure will know way before may 17th. So we actually have less then 3 months!

It is good to hear that they are aware of our efforts. I wrote e-mails for the Great8Mandate to so many people.

But they have to know if there is a s8 before they write episode 22. I mean there must be a difference between a season finale and a series finale.

I want to make an advertising video but I, for the life of me, cant think of a good song. Can anyone please help me think of a song?!

I also added an article to the first post written by the mayor of television, you can read it H E R E. Its a pretty good article, it mentions the Great8mandate and reasons GG should stay on the air along with reasons why it shouldn't.

I had to edit out the links to the Great8Mandate because we can't link other forums, particularly ones that directly compete with FF. Linking gg.org itself would be fine though. I'm sure they have something on their main page that will take you directly to it.

May 17 seems like a really long time to wait. (does anyone know when the season finale will be?)

I'm hoping for an 8th season, but if this is the last one, they should at least have a good ending that ties everything up. The worst possible scenario is that they won't know by the time they film if it will be the last episode or not.
