I guess there were a couple times names were reused. Lorelai was once on the phone with an inn guest, she called him Mr. Rygalski, like Dave of course. This would be because that's Helen Pai's husband's name, for real. And there's Chris Hayden and Jess had that friend Chris. There may or may not have been mention of another Marty, I think.

Not that Tristan is a common name. And played by a blond really hurts that argument.

I don't need an "official" canon ending for Tristan, especially if that's all it is. So I'm really not going to buy whatever impostor Tristan is selling. If it IS supposed to be Tristan Dugray.

I think he should have been asked to come back to GG because he has always interested me and if Jess/Rory didn't get together, he was my second pick for Rory.

Especially for something like this, an extended wrap-up for the major players. Tristan isn't even secondary.

CMM was Tristin Dugray, and this new guy is just Tristan (with correct spelling). Maybe it isn't the same. Sucks for CMM if it is though.

I can't wait for the reboot. But I'm seeing from this thread there's a possibility that they're going to cast someone else as Tristan?

This better not be. I'm not here often but I was one of the original Trories and to be messed up like this, I'd rather they just ignore Tristan than mess with history. The reason I used to love GG was because of it's consistency. Except that one time they re-cast Mia. Oh boy I was PISSED about that one.
