My New Years resolution is to read more books. I got a lot of them for Christmas and I can't wait to read them all.

um I made my goal 8 books this year

I find if I set a low goal it usually motivates me to read more

finished re-reading book 1 of Narnia 2 nights ago

re-read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe in December and planning to re-read the rest of the series this year

I think you would like Heartland a lot then Jen (the books) because the whole story revolves around the main character working with horses
going to bring this over to this thread since it’s getting a bit off topic over there

I'm doing pretty well on that front so far this year. I've read 5 books already and it's only February. My trick is devoting or allocating time on my day off of work to read. I usually can manage to do it but the computer can be an unfortunate distraction.

my usual distractions are mostly a mix of the Internet and fanfiction :P

I’ve actually never finished the whole book series myself so I still want to do that at some point

I'd love to get into fan fiction but I honestly have too many actual books that need to be read. I have read a couple of Suits fics that were incredible.

Eh, no one's clocking you on how fast you'll get through them, so take your time and enjoy what you're reading now. Those books will always be there for you to read.

I read that. So sad. I loved his Pity the Nation poem. He was 101!

I haven’t read as many actual books as I would’ve liked to this past year mostly because I’ve been just reading and re-reading fanfiction but I’m definitely going to try to make it my new year’s resolution to read more novels this coming year

I've been reading books on my kindle but I have a lot of physical books I still need to read. I've been reading lots of fan fiction too.

that's cool, when I went to New York this last time I went to the Strand bookstore, I could live in that store.

Oh that’s cool

I could definitely live in a lot of bookstores but I liked how this one was smaller and intimate and cozy

Haven’t really had the chance to explore bookstores in New York but I would love to
