THis is such a cool idea, I always wished Gilmore GIrls would change the opening credits more often. I definately want to take part, hopefully I'll get motivated enough to do so.

GREAT IDEA! however one question:

when you say no clip stealing do you mean from other contest entries that are posted or are you talking about no stealing online clips? can you verify what you mean thanks ...sorry if I sound like an idiot, I'm new to the world of video making and just want to make sure I follow rules. hehe

Aww great idea for a contest, I might try it, might being the operative word, it depends on if I have time.

As for no clip stealing, I'm pretty sure that means no stealing clips from other people's music videos and calling it your own, that's normally what they mean, you can take from online sites that have episode clips, you just can't steal from other people's mvids and use them for your own. And that's normally frowned upon in the vidding world anyway.

How long shall the promo be? (Minutes/Seconds?)

A suggestion, I think there should be a different winner for people who use a simple program like Windows Movie Maker than people who use Sony Vegas, Magix Deluxe ect. But maybe that's just me. I just think it's unfair to judge people's effects/editing if you can use a Professional program (like me) or just WMM.

The audio promo which I posted is 36 seconds, the video can be a little bit longer but not too long. I won't set rules for that.
Mhm, I don't think it's necessary. I've seen amazing WMM vids. I use another program but I miss some WMM effects, I don't think the program is that bad, it's only instable. But we can discuss that.

Ah I see. Man, I so need to get a video done with Vegas. I have yet to post something from that program. And yes I know some who make amazing WMM vids. I just know that not all that many do, that's why I suggested it.

so, the video should also have the names of the actors in it like real opening credits ? or should it basically just be a music video to the song "where you lead" ?

cause i have no idea how to edit text into a video file with music maker...
