I guess my 6.18 PA thoughts belong here.

Loved the Dream sequence...it was hilarious! And although we really should be appreciating the DOG Paul Anka, the Real Paul Anka was a fresh thing to see in the dream and I thought his guest apprearance was very well done and funny...hee, when he was sitting on Babatte's lap!

That said, the dream was quirky, but IMO not without symbolism. I had a feeling the dream had to do with two people meeting, since well, we have a REAL PA and a DOG PA meeting in the end...everything goes white and then black, and Lorelai wakes up.

So, it sort of symbolizes that when these two characters meet, the world will sort of implode, and it's future will be unknown. Just My Opinion.

Anyway, at first I thought it symbolized a future meeting of Anna/Lorelai if ASP has planned it.
SH Lorelai meets Woodbridge 'Lorelai,' and take your pick which Lorelai resembles which PA.

Then I figured halfway through the ep, the symbolism we have thought for a while...Paul Anka (the dog) was Lorelai's substitute 'child' or her substitute Rory during the rift. With that, the conclusion is PA probably symbolizes a child figure...not Lorelai/Anna.

Hence, the dream does not anvil us about any future episodes, (though I have no idea what happens in future episodes anyway), but merely a clever forshadowing of one of the last scenes of the episode.

REAL PA meets DOG PA
Real Luke's Daughter meets Fake Luke's Daughter/Stepdaughter.
Woodbridge April meets Stars Hollow Rory.

The inevitable meeting of these two characters (or these two worlds--Luke's April world vs Luke's Gilmore world) will cause the universe to implode, as the never the 'twain shall meet for some reason. Luke can't logically live in two worlds. Just as logically, there can't be two Paul Anka's running around town claiming they're the original singing dude.

April and Rory DO meet. And as Lorelai predicts, I did feel awkwardness while watching the scene unfold. White light. Everything turns black. Luke's fumbling trying to explain exactly how he knows Rory since it seems he's never told April about Lorelai in the first place. Worlds collided. Thankfully, after said blackness, April and Rory were conversing. So I guess the universe didn't implode after all. I hope not. So ends my ramblings.

ETA: There was an interview thing on television a day before the episode aired. And the REAL Paul Anka was soo hilarious! Just go watch him at Canopus's Thunderbolts site. It's worth it.

Interesting take Stephanie. I really wasn't sure what to make of it. I was just excited for there to be a little more PA the dog!! hehe. I'm obsessed with that dog!

Anyways, while the board was down, I had no idea where everyone was chatting it up, so I remembered TWoP...so I went there. Someone over there had a theory...it's more like a spec without spoilers.

PA the dog = Luke
PA the person = Christopher

Make your own conclusions from there.

Also, I was thinking about what was in our original first post. I know it was several caps of Paul Anka. I figure we can just post a bunch of caps in seperate posts then we can combine them. The only other thing I believe was the list of things PA is afraid of. No idea if anyone kept that, though.

I don't think it's Luke and Christopher, because they've already met several times and the worlds haven't imploded.

I really do think it was April/Rory

Since well, Dog Paul Anka symbolized Rory already for the first half of the season.

It's great that others were able to interpret what they thought though. I also saw a very intellectuatal post suggesting that it will be the inevitable doom of the LL ship...comparing the PA's meeting to Luke's two worlds meeting, literally...I can't remember the exact post.

And there was another one saying it had to do with Lorelai's conflicting thoughts as well.

I edited my above post with a link. E News had an interview thingy with REAL Paul Anka and GG about the 'upcoming' guest spot (aired Monday of last week)

thanks for recovering the first thread i created for PA. Glad we have it back and I also love the new pics u added in the front post. Glad we got a PA dream a few weeks ago..it was awesome and really funny!
