| I'm so sorry for not being around during the last thread!  I've been a little preoccupied with the Delta board whenever I've been on. I had a few sagas to deal with this week (on and off FF) which prevented me from coming on to catch up each time I planned to. Then I came down with some sort of stomach flu on Friday. It must have been 24-hour thing, but it knocked the air out of me. Even though I'm sure it had nothing to do with it, I'm never eating roast pork again.  Now I'm patiently waiting for my appetite to return. *twiddles thumbs* While I do that, I'll get stuck into catching up on all that I've missed... Lor - Once again, congrats on getting your Learner's Permit today! Have you taken the P's car out to tear up the neighbourhood yet?  Schmo's going for his Ps next month. I should really start posting out warnings to metropolitain and east suburban Melbourne about that. :/Rounders is the cricket-type game (which is probably more like baseball) with about 12 people per team. It's played in a diamond and you have fielders on the bases and scattered elsewhere. The batters make runs and the only real difference is that the bat is about a third of the size of a cricket bat. Oh and there's no stump, just a catcher.  My muscles are much better and the tree's still looking good. Except for when Georgie decides to stalk the low-hanging decorations. It's been knocked over a few times, but I think I've stuffed enough of Mum's cushions around the base to stop it toppling over now.  How did your first putting up of the tree go? No muscle strain, I hope!  I remember how big and scary everything seemed to me in Year 11 too! I guess it's a comforting thing to know that no-one ever stops being scared, but that we all seem to survive each year in spite of that. We'll all be alroit.  So very true about the younger vs. older sibling thing. I feel like I've definitely loosened boundaries for Schmo and he gets away with more 'cause he's the more rebellious of us both. He takes full advantage of it. I barely wanted that much freedom, but it was always an uphill battle.  It's a tough life, but someone has to live it. Thanks for the GG info on the last thread, Laura! Dad's gonna love it too (since he's as mad a Passions junkie as I am).  I can tape all the GG eps that you miss while your away if you'd like. And I'm yet to post back at the Gringotts thread but I did buy an pick up an extra copy of the PoA disc that came with the paper a few weeks ago.  I can never remember whether you wear gold of silver jewellery. You prefer gold, right? I have one of those padlock bracelets! In silver though. And I have several charm bracelets which I love. Bella - The rings you posted on the previous thread are really pretty! I didn't know you wore that many rings. I only have two rings and I never wear them. I have a tendency to take them off when I'm out and I worry about losing them. Sach - I always wondered what that silvery black jewellery was called! Is most of your jerwellery marcasite? Nik - Hope you've recovered okay from your clubbing expedition. I used to come home hammered from those even though I never drank much. ETA: Hey Laura and Em! You'd prefer that everyone skipped Chrsitmas, Em? Gilmore Girls will NOT return Jan 8th and has been delayed a few weeks but will return in later January. Perth viewers will see the return of Gilmore Girls on January 2nd on Sunday afternoon. This is because they are about 4 - 5 episodes behind and want to be in line with the network as much as possible when it officially returns.  | |||
