Can I be added? I'm rewatching season 4, and although I'm a R/J shipper first and foremost, I think these two would have been a great together. And a much better college romance for Rory than Logan.

I actually expected these two to get together at some point. I would have prefered them to Rory and logan I think.

Yeah, it was odd, they seemed to be really pulling for that to happen, but instead we got Logan/Rory,

Ya I totally see what you mean. After S4 kinda built up their friendship and then S5 started showing Marty's feelings for Rory, I thought they would for sure start something between them, especially since ASP made Marty into a guy that, IMO, was exactly what Rory seemed to want and need at the time. To me, it felt like they brought Logan in simply because Rory hadn't date for a while (she hadn't officially started anything with Dean yet) and because they wanted to give her a college guy and Marty filled that quota perfectly but they never went anywhere with it, not even something small like what Rory and Tristan had, it was just zip.

It sucks cause they were so adorable!

One of the most underappreciated relationships ever!

Oh that's definitely true. And Marty's just so lovable, it's kind of nice too, the idea of her being with someone intelligent and sweet at the same time.

I'm really not a Logan fan, which makes it even more frustrating that Rory/Marty weren't followed through on.

I didn't mind Logan too much. I didn't really like him but I didn't hate him. I wasn't really sure what to think of him really cause my opinion on him was always changing but I just didn't see any point in bringing him in when Marty was right there. I don't know if it had to do with schedule conflicts or contracts or what but I just don't think they used Marty to his full purpose and I do think Logan was kinda a culprit in that decision. Not that it was the characters fault, just the writers for bringing him in at that point in time.

I'm like that too but with every guy Rory dated besides Dean. I wasn't fond of Jess at all, then Rory dated Logan and Jess was in an episode and Logan was bugging me, so i wanted her to go with jess. but it passes.

I think it'd have been fun if they'd even had a "what if" episode and they could have had Rory dating Marty and I don't know, Lorelai marrying Max or something.

They really seemed to be setting Marty up as a potential love interest, maybe not early season 5 and she was into Dean but possibly after.

The story in season 7 with them pretending not to know one another sort of confused me. i didn't really get it's point.

I think it was probably a schedule conflict cause wasn't Wayne doing theater or something back then?
