I'm really glad we didn't have to witness any interaction between Lorelai and Chris in the revival. Seems like what little contact they have by that point were through a few emails now and then... and probably generic emails at that. And Chris apparently doesn't even bother to check. Not shocked.
Do you think he would have been at Richard's funeral, but just kept out of the way? __________________

He really is awful from the first moment we meet him. So, he comes to Stars Hollow, his daughter's home town, for the first time in 16 years?!?! And just brazes in like "hey, kiddo!!!!" But he uses this as an excuse because he's really there to try pursue Lorelai. Him asking her to marry him, after having sex on the balcony for 2 minutes... just wtf? Who does that? Lorelai's reaction to him asking that is just brilliant though. Wish she'd had that same reaction in season 7 lol.

 yea, why would we he think she would say yes just because they had sex. yea, I do too. would have been way better if she had that reaction in S7.  __________________

I guess in s7, Lorelai wasn't herself at that point and was putting on this fake happiness. She only did and said certain things to please Chris. Telling him she loved him alllll time time, which never sounded genuine, and then only agreeing to marry him because it's what he wanted. It's actually incredibly heartbreaking that she was willing to put up with a life of that, of being in an unhappy marriage, of putting on this front, just because Chris loved her. Masking her feelings like that. Thank GOD for that letter and for Sookie, making her see sense.

Didn't she at one point say she wanted Lorelai to end up with Chris? Was this just in one interview, or did she keep saying this? In any case, she clearly changed her mind on that.

I feel like she said that early on in the series but once they began building the LL ship up she changed her mind.

I'm glad she came to her senses.
What an awful ending it would have been, to have Lorelai end up with Chris, after he consistently shows how toxic and awful he is through the series, never changing. It would really have tainted the show. __________________
