They were a sweet couple in the beginning, it was a shame Rory was suckered by the bad boy. Dean was a good guy through and through. You could always tell how much he cared for Rory.

Dean was a wonderful boyfriend, kind and caring. Any girl (me included) would be happy to have a boyfriend like Dean.

But I saw two problems with Rory/Dean relationship.

First, Dean loved Rory more than she loved him. She was excited at first, but she was a little bored later on.

And second, at 16 Rory was not ready yet for such a serious commitment. Dean wanted to spend with her a lot of time and it was just too much for her at that age. That's why she was attracted to someone completely different (even though she later discovered, that that was not good either).

They were still a cute couple. Of course it couldn’t last forever but it was still nice to see her with a decent guy like Dean.

That's true, of course.
Just their ending(s) were sometimes a little too bitter.

I didn't mind their first ending, those second and third ones were brutal! :( Anyway, I like to think of them happy together in season 1. :love:

They were just so young. Especially Rory was not ready for such a huge commitment.

But they were so sweet.

I never took much interest in her boyfriends, but, if I was going to have her end up with one, it'd be Dean. I think they had a nice bond at the start.
