Some facts about Lauren:
- She skipped kindergarten and says "that's why I don't know how to share." (She skipped kindergarten because she could already read at the age of 4).
- Her grandparents think she should be on "Friends."
- She claims her work-out routine includes "A random combination of Pilates, running, kickboxing, and whining."
- She was a tomboy who enjoyed riding horses while growing up in Virginia.
- She made her stage debut in her elementary school's production of "Paul Revere."
- She considers her face to be that of "an Irish peasant-farmer."
- Refers to Benjamin Bratt (whom she worked with on "Law and Order") as 'Mr. Superhottie.'
- She claims the reason she works so much is "I'm nice, and I show up on time."
- It takes an hour to blow-dry her hair straight.
- Her ancestory is Black Irish. (This is a confusing term generally applied to people of Irish descent with black hair. An influx of Spanish blood is often cited as the reason for the dark hair).
- Her religion is Irish Catholic
- Her first paying job was as 'Striker' the 1994 World Cup mascot.
- She has only worn a long dress once in her life. She was ten years old and her aunt was getting married. (She said this before the 2001 TV Guide Awards.)
- She says her role, as single mother Lorelai Gilmore, is the sexiest she has played.
- Although she was raised as an only child, she has three half siblings-a brother and sister by way of her father, and a sister by way of her mother. The oldest is sixteen years younger than Lauren.
