I agree completely. The 5.22 finale was very well handled. But I agree completely with Lauren. There is no way that they wouldn't have seen each other for so long. A month would be okay, but good grief, how long was the rift? It had to be at least 6 months. I hate that we never saw a proper resolution either. Yeah, we saw Rory's epiphany after Jess visited, but we never saw R/L discusss anything. This was my biggest beef with ASP. She so often neglected to show us pertinent scenes. I could give you a long list of so called off screen scenes that should have been shown to us the viewers. When Lorelai walked into the diner and told Luke that Rory was back, she said that she needed food because she and Rory were gonna stay up all night (or something like that). I'm sorry, but how could Amy leave out even one brief shot of the two of them doing this?

I believe I've added everyone who's asked to the supporters' list.

One of my favorites scenes during the rift is when Paul Anka is sick and Lorelai is crying because she thinks she is a bad mother and Luke is conforting her. She obviously is with mixing feelings about PA's sickness and the fact she thinks she fails with Rory. It's a great scene !

Go-clo my other Lorelai & Rory videos for the first page:

I added your videos to the opening, Fred Pryce. You know one thing I am really hoping for? Deleted R/L scenes on the season seven DVDs or maybe interviews with L/A. Now that ASP isn't in charge of the DVDs, we may actually get something decent in the extras.

Thank you.

Yeah, that would be nice.

I recently bought season 4 here on Brazil and I was kinda disappointed with the lack of the extras since the extras of season 1 to 3 are so cool.

Oh I hope we get some reeeeeally good extras on the S7 DVD Interviews and bloopers and some good Lauren and Alexis interviews. I was always disappointed by the lack of extras on each boxset. Hopefully now that DR is in charge, there will be some good extras. Hopefully some to make up for the S6 extras or more specifically the lack there of!

Emma_Jane OMG your video was sooo good. Wasn't a huge fan of the music but the way you put together the video was excellent!!! That was very well done and actually made me cry!

Fred Pryce Gonna watch yours now

I agree, it did make an excellent cliffhanger and it would have been an excellent storyline if it was done right. I think the rift itself was handled pretty well, they did a pretty good job with it but I don't like how they handled things after they made up. I also didn't mind the length of the fight cause like Lane was saying, they needed one big fight to make up for all the fights they didn't have. Plus it kept viewers hooked and waiting for them to make up but the way Amy went through with everything afterward was very wrong. When they did make up, it shouldn't have been one quick hug and then all of a sudden everything is back to normal. Remember how LL were after their break up in S5?! They were only broken up for 3 episodes and when they finally got back together, they were nervous around eachother and shy. I think something like that should have happened with Rory and Lorelai, thats how I would act if me and my mom had just gottan into a 5 month, 3 week and 16 day fight (...yes I remember how long Lorelai said they were fighting hehe! ) I think the last half of S6 should have been focused on Lorelai and Rory slowly making their way back to recovery, back to the relationship they once had. Not which ship fanbase can we tick off most? Now because they didn't have that proper healing time, they never really got back to having the relationship they had. They grew apart and I don't think it was just because Rory was off at Yale cause for S4 and 5 she was at Yale but they still managed to keep their relationship as strong as it was when she was living at home.

Oh ya, I noticed that That was very cool, kudos to DR for that one!

Oh yeah. I couldn't agree more with you Clo.

Btw, anyone knows good Lorelai & Rory centric fics to rec? It's hard to find....

I wrote one and I'm planning to write a second one later but I wanted some recs as well.

Sadly I can never find any good Lorelai and Rory fics, I always look but never find anything! You could try fanfiction.com, I've looked and read anything there that could possibly be any good. Most of them aren't even finished sadly! I'll keep a look out though, we need some fanfiction in the first post!

haha I just watched Ted Koppel's Big Night Out and I saw the part you were talking about curlyhead where Lauren was like tickeling Alexis in the back very adorable. She also pointed and laughed at her when Richard handed Rory her non-alcoholic fun flask! I doubt that was in the script!

I've really enjoyed some of the angsty L/R fics from when they've been fighting, or even the ones where they haven't talked for years.

I was actually trying to find one that I read about a year ago. It was written extremely well, but it was a heartbreaker. L&R weren't talking for a few years and Rory married Logan, got pregnant, but had a miscarraige and Lorelai had 2 more kids with Luke. The story basically took off from there, and I just remember it being so angsty, but so good.
I don't suppose anyone else remembers that one? Or what it was called?

Yea I noticed that most L&R fics are based on the rift and they end up being extremely good and very well written. They are sometimes better then the happy ones you find and end up being longer (most fluff fics are one shots and I prefure to read more then one chapter especially if it's good) so I agree, I really enjoy the angsty fics. If I ever wrote a fic, it would most likely be an L&R rift fic.

I haven't heard of the one you are talking about but it sounds really good, do you remember where you read it? I hope you can find it cause I would love to read it!

It was on fanfiction.net, and the chapters were really long, so I've been going the fics based on the size of them... it's really bugging me now cause I want to read it. I can't remember if it was ever finished, and if it was, what happened!

But another fic I remember enjoying was this one. Different Worlds. It's very AU, but angsty and written really well.

Mine fic is set after the rift. It was set on the Atlantic City trip missing scene.

Twenty One Ways to Celebrate a Birthday

Be nice with me. It was my first GG fic.

I'll check this link later.

I watched last night "Ballroom and Biscotti". I just love this episode so much. It was also cool that is very similar with the finale. Lorelai and Rory doing lists and again they have little time to spend together because Rory's schedule sundelly changed.

This is absolutely frustrating me now. I really want to find that story and I can not, for the life of me, find it!
I'm just hoping the author hasn't deleted it or something.

The thing is I'm remembering it really well now... I just wish I knew the title or author. I've been searching all over ff.net for hours and hours, but to no avail.
I've got a feeling the summary was one of those really vague ones that doesn't mention who's in the story or the fact that there's a miscarriage, etc so it's really hard to search for.

ETA: I was just re-reading that other fic I recommended, and I must say, I remember it seeming much better the first time. I didn't realise that the majority of it wasn't about Lorelai/Rory, some parts are gross too. :/

Still no luck with finding this fic though.

I'm watching season 1 and 2 all over again. Some of the best Lorelai and Rory moments.

One of my favorites scenes are with Dean and Max and Dean teaching Max about how to behave next to Lorelai and Rory. Seems Dean was the expert on the Gilmore Girls. LOL.
