We don't know for sure that she didn't. I bet Luke kept them and gave 'em to her when they got back together. There have been good fics written about that very subject.

I love all of the cute scenes like that. I really liked the shopping scene in WGMTD. It was so cute.

Yeah I liked that. And the first part of the shopping scene in SCPP when Lorelai realized that Luke had picked out all of her favorite clothes. So funny how she went from utter denial to her realization.
