I remember doing a top 5 before but I could probably do one every few months and it would be different. I am definitely judging this selection based on what episodes I reach for when I feel like a fix.
Based on that my number 2 is Swan Song. I love the little glimpses of their making out time at Luke’s (they come up for air every now and then), the book discussion on the park bench, and believe it or not I enjoy the angsty fight at Emily’s, their gorgeous make up kiss, and Rory starting to think about ‘IT’. Jess and Luke are also a joy in their scenes. I love it .

the reason why I can’t put that in my top 5 is b/c of Rory at dinner and how she kept on harping on Jess when he didn’t want to talk about it right there and then like yikes

It kills me when Jess calls her at Rory on her Graduation day from Chilton and Rory goes off as to how angry she is that Jess didn't talk or say goodbye to her but the line that kills me is when she gets all chocked up when she saids "I think I might have loved you... but I have to let it go."

If you look at the series as a whole it is the first time Rory actually saids I love you to someone and really means it. She pauses and then adds the "but I have to let it go" because she actually gets emotional saying I love you. Like it she can't say it outloud because it's true.

I mean when Dean tells her he loves her she saids I love the car and when Logan saids he loves her she saids I have to go I have an appointment.

When Jess tells her she is speechless and then she talks to him on her graduation day and it just comes out that she thinks she loved him as well and she is chocked up and in tears when she saids it.

yeah I agree with everything you said

I think the fact that they were together in real life made it so much more elevated/real in a way than any of her other boyfriends

but it comforts me to know that while they had to film emotional/sad scenes like that Milo/Alexis were happy together off the set

Totally agree!!

My number 3 in my top 5 go to Lit episodes is Nag Hammadi. So much angst the whole episode, love the fundraiser shenanigans, and of course the epic scene at the end.

Enjoying all of the Lit love around at the moment. It would have been nice to hear something from Milo and Alexis for the anniversary though.

I do love the angst in that episode but I guess I prefer the happier ones in my top 5

it’s a great episode but I would only re-watch it if I’m in the mood for like angst otherwise I would gravitate more towards re-watching the episodes in my top 5 list

Aw maybe it would be cool if the cast did a Zoom event or something. I think Gilmore Girl Fan Fest is going on October 17th and it is virtual so maybe.

I loved the reunion they had a few years ago.
