Well they had to get him out of the house so he could be looking at her lovingly through that window. He can’t be doing that while he is eating pizza.

My impression however is that he knows spending too much time with Rory is dangerous for him, especially when he thinks that Rory has no romantic interest in him. He probably feels it’s safer to hightail it out of there.

yeah I get that but ppl are making it seem like he’s so nervous to even just be in the same room as her

he seemed pretty comfortable with her in the scene in Summer

I mean obviously it makes sense that it wouldn’t be 6x18 level of comfortable after what happened there but I saw it more as he really did just think it was crowded with 5 ppl there including himself like maybe he’s still a bit anti-social?

But when he saw her in Summer he hadn’t seen her in 4 years, and since then his feelings have probably started to resurface, which at that period of time, he wanted to avoid.

He will always be anti social. I know....I am one .

Who knows really. I like the idea of him being uncomfortable around her, especially with Luke and Lorelai present as they can both read him like a book.

Also in that scene have I mentioned before that Luke and Lorelai and then Rory and Jess say the exact same dialogue with the ‘you shouldn’t see the bride before the wedding convo’. In my biased mind it screams a parallel .
