Well it seems the likelihood of more eps in the near future is getting slimmer and slimmer.

Gilmore Girls Reboot Creators New Amazon Show 2017

I guess the article is right. We will have to rely on our dreams for Rory/Jess shipping.

I would still like to think we will get more...one day :)?

I guess there's a clause that they can work on GG if there's another season.

It seems that way luckily.

I'm a little sad, because I really wanted to see new installments.

Well, at least we know that Jess is a great guy now and that he still cares for Rory.

But in the end she is pregnant with Logan, so the ending is very open...
She and Jess will/would have a chance... but first she must resolve her relationship with Logan - and it could go either way...

Thanks for the link everyone!

After seeing the revival a part of me actually would have been satisfied with the first ending, so I am no rush to see anything more :P
If there is more I agree and hope the logan stuff will be resolved.

Lindsay 09-28-2017 10:04 PM

I agree. I just don't wanna be disappointed.

I have lots to say about the Logan situation but I just wanted to put this up quickly before real life calls for my attention.

Always a pleasure. Milo seems to have a real love/hate relationship with Jess. The sooner he accepts there is no escaping it the better off he'll be :D.

As for the Logan situation I think the scene with Rory and her father and then the final scene in the revival pretty much resolved that problem. I can't remember word for word that conversation with Lorelai, but the gist of it was that she was alone and was down about not having a steady man in her life....knowing all along she was pregnant with Logan's kid. She had already come to terms with the fact that their relationship was over and going nowhere.

I also don't feel that Amy's Logan is invested enough in Rory to sacrifice the lifestyle he has going and commit to raising a family with her. He was all about himself and everything had to be on his terms.

I am the complete opposite. I love it and I squealed with delight when I saw it.

For me this moment gives me hope. It's Amy's way of showing us that the story is not over for these two :D.

Me too

Yes, but Richard was engaged with another woman too, and he still married Emily in the end. Shira was also not suitable wife for Mitchum (wasn't she poor waitress?), but Mitchum still married her.
Logan would never give up his lifestyle for Rory, but Rory would actually be amazing Mrs. Huntzberger - Emily thought her everything. Maybe Logan doesn't care, who his wife is (how rich she is), as long as everything is on his terms (by the rules of Huntzberger's family).

And at the moment that's the easiest solution for Rory. Her career in journalism didn't work out, but she would be perfect high society wife and would have enough time to write too. It would be easier for her to rise a child with the father than alone, and she and Logan are good friends and there is some sort of love (maybe their connection is not as deep as it was with Jess, but still...).

Rory definitively wanted out of her situation with Logan, she was ready for new life, but then she was pregnant - and now everything can change again. I'm not saying that Rory will be with Logan (far from it), but IMO it's really open ending - and everything is possible.
Maybe that's a little pessimistic for the this thread, but I would like to incite a debate.

^^ Agree, it was a pretty open ending, and so far Amy has spent more time and prioritized Rory/Logan than any other Rory and possible love interest, so I also don´t expect him to disappear just like that...

Btw. I have been in a R/J fanficton mood this whole week, but can´t seem to find any well written new ones or ones I still haven´t read :( Any tips? :D

Litlover73 10-04-2017 04:40 AM

It is an open ending, however that scene with Christopher was crucial IMO.

However Amy has now told the story she wanted to tell so I suppose it's anyone's guess now...especially hers.

I just feel like if Amy wanted to set up Rory and Logan to be happily ever after she would have made their story much nicer, but this is her season 7. They were together still at the end of season 6 with Logan going off to London. Where did we find them in the revival? Logan in London and Rory going to visit for booty calls and struggling with her career.

Why didn't she show them running into each other again, building some tension between them, trying to resist each other but not being able to? Their buildup was lame in the series and non existent in the revival. Why? Because it's not important. What's important is that they are together so he can father the child. That's all.

I love fan fiction. At least it satisfies :D. Have you read this one
Show Chapter | Archive of Our Own

It's well written, some juicy but very tasteful sex scenes, and most importantly.....it's complete :sigh:.

alljess 10-04-2017 12:04 PM

^^ooo, that one looks good! Thanks for the tip, haven´t read it :D
