I just watched those scenes last night. And it really has nothing to do with their feelings but more about their situations being reversed from when they were together. It makes perfect sense that it was Jess that got through to her.
I was thinking about that porch thing too. The first episode Jess sees Rory the scene starts with Lorelai answering the door to Luke and Jess on the porch and Jess is entering the house. The final scene of him seeing Rory is Jess leaving the house with Jess and Luke on the porch. I liked what Caitlin said on Gilmore Guys about how no one else had been affected as much by Rory as much as him so him returning the favor made it so much more meaningful
it was due in part to his feelings but more him caring about her as a person than romantic feelings ah I didn’t even notice the whole entering and leaving the house and with Luke and Jess again too (good catch) Last edited by atwoodsmariano; 01-08-2020 at 05:42 PM |

I am wondering if Tanc just used it to signify marching into the new year....but it’s an odd thing to do. And it highly suggests more LDB when he says ‘here we come baby’ (wake me when that’s over). Isn’t it the 20th anniversary this year, it would be perfect. __________________
