For me, it got good again after Lorelai admitted in the Hay Bale maze ep that she was wrong for doing what she did. I liked when they started their friendship-esque banter again, and then of course the karaoke episode.

I get that. I just love seeing them wind their way back to each other. When their banter kicks in again when buying a new car it felt familiar.

It's funny because the first like 3 times I watched gg, I just didn't notice how blatantly obvious LL were. lol. Like I knew the writers were subtly pushing for them, but during this rewatch I see so many moments every single episode, and a lot of them are just little tiny things but they are so obvious.

I love how, for example, when Max and Lor fought in the previous episode i watched, it felt very much like an awkward, uncomfortable sort of fight. One that you maybe weren't sure you could recover from. But with LL, when they fight about Jess and what Luke should do, its the exact reason that Loreai got upset with Max.. for trying to interfere with Rory. It shows how similar they are. And I love that the fight also didnt feel serious, even though Luke said some hurtful things like about her getting pregnant and not making wise decisions or whatever he said... but like, you could tell there was still a lot of trust there between them and that they would get over it.

I was pulling for them from day one & those little moments in each episode got me hooked. I lived for the next moment between them, even if it was a silly, simple conversation.

Because that dialogue is so quick and dense, there’s always something to discover in subsequent viewings.
