I understand the desire for them to get together but I still think it would've been too early. They needed to build their relationship up a bit longer to really make the payoff worth it.

Slow burns trump immediate gratification every time for me. They get a chance to build their chemistry and relationship until it EXPLODES! Their kiss at the end of s4 was so well worth the wait.
