Scott missed out on a lot. The pictures and the party but well if you think you come back for one more season and can be a part of it in the last year you don't bother to much. I bet he does now that the show got canceled.

Liza wasn't there because her last episode was 721, and they didn't know it was the end at the time. I blame no one calling her on that, not an intentional absence.

They should have realized at best it was 50/50 for a return so maybe like the script they should have treated it like a series final and arranged their schedules to be there, but I guess life moves on.

As I've said, maybe when the final season DVD comes out they can all meet up in "Stars Hollow" for a movie night party to release it?

Oh, so do I! I'm not blaming the actors. What's sad is how they didn't bother to schedule the photo when everyone could be there, or make more effort to call and include everyone.

Craig, I doubt the cast would meet up for the DVD launch. They don't get any money from the DVDs - and when's the last time they even recorded comments for them?

Which totally sucks!

I love Dr Who and one of the best parts each week a 45 min behind the scenes special for every one of it's 13 eps. The cast talk they show just about everything, its fantastic, imagine if they did that for Gilmore Girls or other US shows!

Why is it other shows celebrate their merchandise and DVD sales but not on this show?

Most shows don't celebrate their merchandise and DVDs, I guess because the actors don't get any benefit. West Wing had the same problem; that's why their cast special was cancelled.

But overall, I'd agree with you - there seemed to be less enthusiasm about the show generally from the lead GG actors than on most shows. It's strange.

Well I didn't say most shows but there could have been so many commercial tie-ins with the show, coffee is the most obvious. The only ad I remember was for Aqua water I think.

I guess it comes down to the show runner, network and actors.
