Just saw this GG movie article so I thought I'd share: (I don't think it's been posted in here yet, if so, sorry)

Gilmore Girls May Get TV Movie

Amy Sherman-Palladino, creator and writer of the long-running series Gilmore Girls, told TV Guide Online that she’d like to make a Gilmore Girls TV movie to wrap up all the loose ends from the series. She says she’d penned the four final words, but did not get to use them when she did not return for the final season due to contract conflicts. Lauren Graham, who starred as Lorelai Gilmore, says she would return for the movie “just to get the four final words out of Amy. They torture me.”

Exactly. I almost feel that way about season 7 as a whole; I just can't think of any of it as written in GG's destiny because to me, Amy is the voice of GG. And I think this movie is the perfect way to show Amy's masterplan without giving her too much room to screw Luke and Lorelai over again-- you can't really throw a Christopher curve ball, fix the damage, and tie it up with a pretty bow in 120 minutes. Most importantly, I want to see the complex family relationships again, and I know Amy would work that in.

I really need to stop getting so excited about this movie that may never happen...

well...for me, before the news, i was very depressed that we will not the casts anymore, but i think this news has made me uplifted, although the moie may not happen, at least i think i do not need to be depressed right now.

I think though that Season 7 already tied loose ends with Chris, there's no what ifs anymore, they tried the relationship, didn't work, will never work so no more Chris IMO

i really really hope all the cast will appear if they make the movie, i love every character yes even Kirk it just won't feel like stars hallow without one of them

Yes, they tied lose ends with Chris, but not between LL and Lorelai and her parents, which was the two most important relationships on the show, besides Lorelai and Rory.

I also hope, that IF they make the movie, all the characters come back, minus one..

The four last words doesn't mean that much to me. Other than I'm sort of curious as to what they are. They might even be words that's have past their moment, but then again. ASP wouldn't do a movie for those four words if they couldn't "fit in".

Oh yes she would, if that's what she always wanted and they really exist she wouldn't care. She wanted LC in S3, but DS wasn't available. Didn't prevent her from using that later when it certainly didn't fit anymore.

I don't think ASP would want Chris and Lorelai ending up together, but I think she'd like to have some "Hannah and her Sisters" kind of busy, noisy holiday family meal scene, with ALL family there, including Chris and Gigi and April and even Anna.

I wouldn't mind such a scene, even with Chris, if LL were hosting it as a married/commited couple. I'd actually enjoy it, as I did in that movie.

I wouldn't mind either, as long as there is no unnecessary drama. Chris bugs me (for a lot of other reasons too), because his presence means drama for LL's life. I'd prefer a family reunion with ER, LL, Rory (and whoever she's with or by herself) and April. But I'd take one with everyone, including Chris, with LL happy and committed..it would be fun ..for several reasons.

I wouldn't mind either! In fact, I know I'm in the minority, but I would embrace this sort of thing. It would really put my mind at ease, knowing that such a situation could happen without the world exploding.

I think it's kind of funny that ASP wants to make a movie "to wrap up all the loose ends from the series" while she said earlier (and more than once) she doesn't watch GG anymore since she left. So where does she know from how very open the end was?

Anyways, I wouldn't mind seeing the GG-movie. I guess without Luke is a no-go, but without April pretty please.

About the famous four last words .... ASP promised Ausiello to tell him them after the end of the series... what about that?
