I think having Lorelai go up to see Luke like Miss Patty said and NOT saying it was nothing is what should have happened, maybe they could have talked/kissed but kept it quite. She still could have gone to Yale with just the "family" including Chris but we could have had a couple of L&L scene and maybe coming out to the town with a big kiss at the Bon Voyage party.

I am glad the kiss did not win that kiss was way overated. Second of all Luke/Lorelai was not the second most important relationship on the show. Lorelai/Richard/Emily was to me and that was handled poorly

Well I still doubt the leaking of the news by MA and then the stuff in TV Guide was no accident, DSR knew most would not like it so just got the news out there to get it over with. I just wish he had half a brain to either not do it in the first place or end the marriage in the next ep when Lorelai realised it was wrong. But no just like everything else in S7 he dragged it out to the bitter end and screwed the fans over time and time again!
