Looks like Kirk found a new job at ABC. How else to explain ABC's inability to choose?

Name it again, Sam ABC's new Christina Applegate sitcom, which won't air for another four or five months, is already on its third title. When ABC announced it had picked up the show, it was called Sam I Am. Earlier this month the title was changed to Samantha Be Good. Now the network has renamed it Samantha Who? That ties ABC's previous record for stupid screwing-around with a show's title, set last year with Let's Rob Mick Jagger/Let's Rob.../The Knights Of Prosperity. C'mon guys, with just a little push, you should be able to come up with a fourth title. How about Son of Sam? By the way, I've seen the show's pilot, and it's a good one. After being hit by a car, Applegate awakes from a coma with amnesia. Trying to put the pieces of her life back together, she learns she was such a bitch that almost everyone who knows her assumes that the hit-and-run driver who hit her was trying to kill her. LOL, well maybe Kirk could run a TV network, can't do any worse than any of the current teams.

Regarding the Scott news, I found this and I just can't believe Dawn Ostroff is doing this to him, that just falls in stupidity

But more recently Sassy has posted.

From what My Friend says, SP believes this half hour comedy to have the possibility of being groundbreaking in its concept. He wanted to do this show but pulled out last week because the attitude of certain executives made him feel that they had no respect for him. No one wants to work for people who don't respect them. He told them that he wasn't interested in the part last Tuesday, 6/19. The CW audition other actors beginning 6/16 but didn't see anyone else that they felt was right for the role. So, little over a week ago (around the 21st), the CW came back to SP apologizing for the "misunderstanding" and begging him to reconsider their offer. Evidently the writers, the producers, and just about everyone connected with the show (except perhaps one) really felt SP was perfect for the part. Evidently he agreed with them.

It's still not confirmed but probably a 99% chance he will do it.

Then again we have a 99% chance for Gilmore S8 and look what happened, so until contracts are signed nothing is for sure.

I'll give it a shot because of him, like I will for MM's show and even ASPs. I'm not thrilled about him being on another CW show, though. I really just want to forget about that network all together. I had been hoping that SP would get onto one of the crime shows the WB produces, but that didn't work out. I am glad that AiA was one of the only CW shows that the critics did like after upfronts. Hopefully, it will last a full season. I'll have to check out whatever sneak peak I can find of it tomorrow when I have the time.

Sure doesn't look that way anymore

Seriously I would be a bit careful with such statements about Scott and he being pissed that he had to read or audition or whatever for that part because you sure put him in a picture I bet not everyone likes.

Just because he worked on Gilmore girls and did a great job there doesn't mean he is the king of all tv shows now and doesn't need to audition or read for a part. That it's beneath him and his incredible self.

Something like that sure doesn't put him in the right spot now does it ?

That's been bothering me too. It's total hearsay, and it sure doesn't paint Scott in a very good light.

Scott has his faults, by all accounts, but I never heard of him having such a swollen head before these stories started circulating. The strange part is that they're coming from his professed admirers.

Concerning Danny Strong's movie 'Recount 2000', the article below doesn't say much, apart from when it starts.
I wonder if he has a role in the movie.

Election film may be shot in city Pre-production for HBO's "Recount 2000" would begin in July. HBO and director Sydney Pollack are "extremely close" to choosing Jacksonville to shoot a film about the disputed 2000 presidential election results, the city's film commissioner said Friday. "I've got good feelings about this," said Todd Roobin, head of the film and TV office of the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission. "Put it this way: They're very happy with the locations and aren't looking anywhere else." He expects a final decision within days. Pre-production on Recount 2000 would begin in July, with filming taking place September through November. Jacksonville would double for locations around the state. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film focuses on those involved in the monthlong turmoil that followed the election. It will tell the stories of workers for each campaign as well as voters who were caught up in the drama. No stars have been announced, but Roobin said the names he's hearing are "big, big, big." And I mean it comes with the territory. That's what actors have to do and if they have a problem with it well they should change their profession then.

My guess is he didn't throw a fit...it seems very out of character.
