It's from the Dark Horizons interview:
Quote:
Question: What aspirations do you have at this point in your career?

Graham: They're kind of being fulfilled. For a while I just wanted to feel what it was like to be out in the world again, which both means having more down time and having more opportunities. I've been working with the same group of people for a long time and every time I sit down with a new director or think about working with a new actor, I just want my work to be interesting and less hard.

Question: Less hard, yet you want to go back to television right?

Graham: But I would never do it like that. I wouldn't be the lead of a one hour show again, because it's too hard. And I did it on a show that I love so much and that I'm really proud of. Most shows don't work like that, which is why these one-hour shows are more ensembles. We had a unique show that just really stressed these two people. You see all the popular shows like Greys Anatomy and stuff and here are eight characters who are great and with whom you can have scenes with. Until you've done fourteen hours a day for seven years, four or five days a week, there's nothing that's worth that to me any more.

. . .

Question: Is it tougher the older you get to find women being written that are really interesting?

Graham: I like this movie, I like the movie I'm doing right now, I like the one that I'm going to go do. It's a different thing. It does tend to be simpler. It's not - I do think some of the best stuff for women who aren't like being the babe, I do some of it's in TV but I don't want to be like, I haven't founding nothing, you know, I found some cool stuff and to me now I don't need it to be my thing. I just wanted to have a nice contribution because it teaches me something and so that if I go back to TV I will have had some other experience and just worked with some different directors and other actors and stuff. And that's all it is for me right now.

'Evan Almighty' Sails to Top of Box Office
Disappointing $30 Million Weekend Leads All Movies

LOS ANGELES (June 24) - "Evan Almighty" did not live up to its name at the weekend box office in North America.

The most expensive comedy ever made -- with an official price tag of $175 million -- opened at No. 1 with an estimated three-day haul of $32.1 million, said distributor Universal Pictures Sunday.

somehting about Kelly, from LG board
Quote:
Bishop remembers Walsh
Kelly Bishop, who played the tough-talking Sheila in the original production of "A Chorus Line," came to Auburn Friday to celebrate the life of fellow Broadway cast member Thommie Walsh, who died there June 16.

Bishop described herself, Walsh and Priscilla Lopez as a triad who worked and played hearty during their time in the landmark show.

But for the last six years, she has been playing the starchy, patrician Emily Gilmore, mother of Lorelai on TV's "Gilmore Girls." In a brief offstage conversation, she said their off-screen bond was closer than the on-screen connection, where constant friction was the norm between Emily and Lorelai. "She (Lauren Graham) was truly my daughter," says Bishop.

Bishop also says she has great respect for Graham, putting her in the same acting pantheon as Cate Blanchett.

Thanks for that. Is there some conspiracy going on, wanting to eliminate S7? This article also mentions only six years...

And well, I'm not sure she's a Cate Blanchett.

I wouldn't mind if we got rid of most of season 7. Just leave the last 5 episodes or so, and dump the rest.

Sorry, I'm so distracted from real life that I didn't post here lately. But reading LG's interviews I got an impression, she decided to close her GG memories in her "GG box" and not to open it anymore. She says:
Quote:
"I still have boxes in the garage from the dressing room that I haven't unpacked. So, in many ways, I really don't know what the show being over feels like yet because I just kind of went to work.

"I'm really glad about that. I thought my biggest problem was going to be, 'How do I fill my days?' "
My biggest problem is, I'm still asking myself, how should I fill my days without Gilmore Girls. But it isn't Lauren Graham's problem. It's a problem of stupid fans, who believed, Luke and Lorelai belong together and who thought it's not the wedding what would make the show interesting, but showing us L&L living together.

My mistake!

I don't think many fans wanted a last minutes series final wedding, they wanted that to happen mid season to then show us some of L&L married life and working on things as a married couple. Like C&L were for a time. Now that may have happened in S8 but we'll never know. I've said before the ending was a good season ending but not 100% a good series ending, DSR wanted to drag out the L&L getting together for those last few eps and not even give us one ep of them again as a couple!

I'm glad Lauren can move on but I doubt she has forgotten everything about the show, she's busy with the new movie and promoting EA so has but the GG stuff in a box just like in her garage.

Dark reels in indie 'Fish'
Production wraps on Modine comedy
By DAVE MCNARY

Helmer Gregory Dark has completed production on the independent feature "Little Fish, Strange Pond," a dark comedy starring Matthew Modine, Callum Blue, Adam Baldwin, Paul Adelstein, Zach Galifinakas, Liza Weil and Don McManus.

Sharlotte Blake is producing with David Kravis and Modine exec producing. Shana Landsburg and Robert Dean Klein are co-producers.

Story, penned by Klein, centers on a Puck-like character wandering the streets of Los Angeles philosophizing about life, death and free will, while beautiful women are found dead and dismembered in his wake, leading to a true criminal uncovering the misdeeds.

Dark is best known for his musicvideo work, and helmed the Lionsgate feature "See No Evil."

Dark is repped by APA and managed by Alison Rosenzweig.
