Despite numerous trips to L.A. during the show, I only managed to go to the Tour once during S7. It was quite an experience. Unfortunately, it was a pretty full tour and there was only one other GG fan in our group, which meant that we didn't get to spend a whole lot of time looking around. We didn't get a chance to walk around at all (Stars Hollow), but we drove by Luke's, Sookie's, Crap Shack, etc... No celebrity sightings but we did see that a lunch was being served for the crew near the gazebo. There were definitely filming that day.

I would have gone again, except we were only in L.A. for 2 days. The first day was our Tour and the next day we had a funeral service to attend.

It had taken months to convince Hubby to go since he doesn't like the show, but he finally agreed when I told him that it might be the absolute last season. Oh and the offer of Snugglebucks helped out also.

Yeah, me too. But only if they spent a long time planning it properly - like with the Friends movie (I heard they're seriously thinking of doing one).. I think unless its very well thought out, they could run the risk of ruining it.

Be prepared if you've been on the WB tour before and you go now - it's depressing. Sarah Conner Chronicles has taken over Lorelai's house. I was at the WB not too long ago and the CS front porch was all gone - they were ripping it all out for that other show. The garage is unrecognizable as well. It made me very sad. It was such a cute house. And Lane's apartment had a big burn hole in the side around a window - apparently some robot burst through there or something. You have to have a good eye to recognize most things now, and a lot of the tour guides are new and weren't even there when GG filmed so they aren't much help. They do film in town quite a bit for a variety of shows, but if they aren't filming the tours still go through there.

If they ever do a GG movie they can recreate the town in no time. If that happens, make sure to go on a tour then and see Stars Hollow in all it's glory!

copperboom sound depressing, I didn't know about Lane's, might have to check my copy of SJC to see if I can spot it.

I saw parts of Norbit on the movie channel and felt almost home sick for the old town even though I knew it was done between S6&S7.

I think they were filming Bon Voyage (the party scene), but what do I know. I was just so awed at seeing everything in person.

And Craig's right, Copperboom. It does sound depressing.

And we're back to the movie talk....damn these other cancelled shows doing movies! LOL j/k.

I enjoyed watching SITC, the movie. I thought that the main characters essentially remained the same as they did in the TV series, and I totally loved the story lines. Now if they ever do make a Friends and GG movie, I hope they stay true to the TV show we actually fell in love with.

BTW, how cool would it be to have LG and SP in the Friends Movie and MP in the GG movie?

Yes! they drop in to Central Perk for Lorelai to get a coffee while visiting NYC to see a play and catch a baseball game

and they have a one year old William with them
