Wow, if this is not bashing, I do not know what is. After reading the last few pages of the thread, I know exactly why I avoid the Gilmore Girls threads even though it is my favourite show. It is 'ship Lorelai/Luke, or leave' (or stay and feel the hate towards other pairings).

I don't know if that's it but there are people with unrealistic expectations about pairings, some still wanting Jess or Dean to came back went apart from anything else both actors had other work in the last few season of the show.

I'm sure there are still people missing Max, Digger or even Alex and I respect those shippers but it was clear from the start Luke is the guy for Lorelai in the long term, just a pity they wasted so much of the final 22 eps getting there as wrecking other ships along the way.

BTW - I hate that they broke up Rory and Logan right at the end knowing it was a slim chance for an 8th season and a chance for them to get back together.

I apologises for any bashing, that was not my intent. I just expressed my feelings about a character and how sometimes that translates to the actor, it is a visual medium after all!

It was not so much shipping as it was, for example, stating that David Sutcliffe would be appearing in a show, and then people saying not such kind things about him based on his character rather than him as an actor.

I don't think it was bashing. Some posters stated that they didn't want David on certain shows because they see him as Chris. That being said, I don't think this is the right place to discuss that. Probably more appropriate in the Neshbe thread.
