I always though it was the getting married that was too quick, from dating in 7.04 to married at the end of 7.07  Like they said, Chris push and Lorelai was an easy pushover at the time.
I guess we need an in depth interview on just that topic, but since its a year later I doubt that will happen. Plus even then not everyone will be happy with the answers.
