Hence, she might had a tendency towards Chris and Lorelai (Plus, I don't see why KB should say it, if it weren't true). Guess, we'll never know, even with a movie she'll write, Amy hardly will be able to change much about that anymore, if she likes it or not or whatever *shrugs*

I'm not saying you did wrong in not posting the whole thing. You posted what was necessary. and thanks once again for bringing it over. I just think that if you insert it in the whole context, the interpretation is totally different, imo of course. I don't think KB said it. For me is not that obvious, actually it's quite the opposite.

She had split Luke and Lorelai before (in season 5) and Chris/Lorelai were not even an option. And, IMO, it was DSR who brought LC back together, Amy left Lorelai looking terrified in Chris's bed... So, I don't think she had a tendency towards LC especially, like Kasia said, he was never around. He was only there to cause the so called drama. So, for me it still doesn't make any sense.

I'm wondering, if this was indeed a quote, whether it could have been misinterpreted; maybe when Kelly said "have them together in the end" she referred to Lorelai and Luke rather than Lorelai and Christopher. This fits together much better with the way the series was written and comments Amy made over the years. It also makes more sense given KB's quotes before the series finale that there was no closure for Lorelai and Luke's relationship.

This doesn't prove Amy intended Lorelai to end up with Chris. If so, why not have Luke and Lorelai get married after a year-long engagement so they could find out they weren't meant to be together and have Lorelai realize it should have been Chris? Chris, not Luke, was obviously written as complication guy.

Me. And movie or not, I'd love to hear directly from Amy who she intended Lorelai to end up with and what she envisioned for both Rory and Lorelai at the end of the series.

Yeah, I think it was misinterpreted and the "them" in the sentence would have been LL. It only makes sense that way. Just my thoughts though. It was also Amy who said "these two people are made for each other" about LL.

And I can't really believe that Amy would have told Kelly how the show would end if even Lauren doesn't have a clue. I don't think the person is lying, but I think Kelly was just joking

I don't know what to think, didn't she (Amy) watch the show she was making for 6 years? It was all Luke, until the bitter end but even then the look Lorelai had on her face didn't exactly say love in Lorelai eyes.
