Well, you'll be pleased to know, fox, that in the podcast, they mentioned MC's FNL casting, Ausiello saying it's a good thing for MC and the show, too, because of the many Gilmore fans excited about the news, who might start watching the show now, thanks to MC.

They mentioned that DS was on PP when they went through the shows of the week (they're not happy with PP in general), and talked about the strike, as well, but I don't remember details.

Nothing personal to the actor, but he brings back bad memories to many fans. Some will shrug it off, but I'm not sure Mikey is right about this attracting so many of the GG faithful.

Round about this time last year, Mikey predicted viewers would watch 707 out of "curiosity". According to the ratings, they didn't.

What no huge audience for the "Event Fans have been waiting for."

7.07 got about 4.51 million up from the previous week but not by much, then it dipped back down the next. That says to me it was not the HUGE event the CW was hoping for, not huge ratings. the biggest ratings before the final can in the next few weeks with the townies then the fight and Chris being turned down about having a baby. The season never broke 5 million and was about 1 million down on the previous season.

It was a season universally hated by the majority of fans and critics, which is now coming back in the form of the DVD reviews.

I'd hate to be David S. Rosenthal right now, with all the bad press the season got. Not all his fault but he was the show runner and ultimately he was running thing. He decided the direction of the story so he must be held to blame no matter what we may think about Amy still having some influence on the show direction.

Craig, audience share ("ratings") was 3.0/4 for ep 7.06.
It dropped to 20/5 for French Twist, sort of rose to 2.9/5 the following week, then back down to 2.2/6 (figures from your site, lol).

That's a rough outline. Heaven knows, those stats have seen more than enough debate about season 7's ratings.

Still, audience share dropped for 7.07, which had been widely spoiled - including on the front cover of TV Guide. And overall, the "A storyline" bombed in last year's November sweeps.

While it's easier for us mere mortals to simply count the total number of viewers, advertisers traditionally pay more attention to the ratings - that is, out of however many people watched TV that night, what percent chose your show.
