I like the idea of an 8 ep mini series better but I'd take a 2 hour TV movie, I'd guess it comes down to how busy Lauren and Alexis (not to mention Scott) are, and then getting everything in place to make it happen. And the strike might have an impact.

I hope it happens soon and doesn't turn into a 10 year anniversary thing years down the track.

Although the thought of L&L married with a couple of kids and Rory a successful journalist is good, maybe the could do that but just make it in the next year or so

Don't get your hopes up. That's from Ausiello's old interview with Amy out on the picket line at the start of the Writers' Strike - when she said fans who want a movie should go picket in front of Roth's house (he's WB prez).

Most major networks don't do 8 ep mini series anymore. You'll more than likely see a 2 hour movie if it ever happens.

But aren't Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman fans still waiting for their series final movie? Or did they finally get it? Or does no one remember that series? lol It's definitely a different network, however, same principal I think.

I think Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman got a movie but I'm not sure, I didn't really follow the show.

Dr Quinn made two TV movies after CBS abruptly cancelled the series. They're also available together on DVD.

I don't know the in's and out's of how those movies came about, but there were MANY differences between how Moonves pulled the plug on Dr Quinn, and the way GG ended.

The stars aren't aligned for optimism about a GG movie - but hey, stranger things have happened in TV-land. It's always possible, as Luke said: "Things change."
