Edited..Guro got it first!

It surprises me a bit that Keira Knightly is only 21. She seems older. And it's even weirder that Knightly is 21 and Alexis 25, because Knightely DEFINITELY looks alot older than Alexis.

Ahhh.. Okay. Scrolled down the list too quick. Glad she got a mention even if the cynic in me says it's a bogus category (defined in such a way that everyone would want to be considered part of it) created to promote an advertising firm.

I am so happy that Lauren is a producer now,I think she has great ideas for the show in that pretty little head of hers.

I just don't think the show would work without Alexis, like others have said,it is called Gilmore Girls.

Chris has got to go he has ruined Lorelai she has not been her complete self since he has been in the picture, she doesn't look as happy as when she was with Luke IMO.

We need the real Lorelai back which we did see some of in the last episode which was refreshing and awesome.

I think Knightly has a poise, sophistication, and confidence that Alexis Bledel will never have and that is what makes her seem and look more Mature.

ETA I think SP would sign up for another season if only because then he could probably get second billing.

Maybe some of you know already, but Lauren Graham attended the 'Because I said so' premiere in Los Angeles

And the latest episode of Gilmore Girls scored 4.26 million viewers, and it was up 600K from last week's season low.

There are a bunch of links that don't work.
Maybe the person who uploads the pix there reads this. Okay, well:
All links in the following directions are broke:

Galerie > Episode Promotional Stills > Season 4
Galerie > Episode Promotional Stills > Season 5
Galerie > Episode Promotional Stills > Season 6

Hope you will fix it soon. There's a TON of pix I wanna get and it's depressing to click on the (still working) ThumbNail to find the pic isn't there.

CW, T-Mobile Launch Gilmore Girls Web Contest

Mike Shields

JANUARY 31, 2007 -

The CW has partnered with T-Mobile to launch a Web video trivia contest built around the long-running family drama Gilmore Girls.

As of Jan. 30, cwtv.com began featuring The Gilmore Guide to Pop Culture, sponsored by T-Mobile. Each week, the show’s fans will be presented with eight clips from the show, each of which showcases the Girls' penchant for incorporating random pop culture references into conversations. Following each clip, users are then asked a related trivia question. After each question, the site will provide numerous links to more information on whatever pop culture reference was featured.

Eight new questions and clips will be posted on cwtv.com each Tuesday during the duration of the challenge, which concludes on Mar. 6. During that time, T-Mobile subscribers can also download various songs from the show to use as ringtones.

'Gilmore Girl' Graham looks beyond Lorelai to romantic comedy

Lauren Graham doesn't need a ''Gilmore Girls'' script to be fast and funny. Beating the drum for her latest film — the romantic comedy ''Because I Said So'' — the actress is no less a word-slinging wisecracker than the woman she portrays every week on TV.

Ask Graham what she plans to do when Lorelai Gilmore finally rides off into the sunset, and she says she's hoping to travel to Ireland, home not only to her favorite band, U2, but also to most of her ancestors.

Don't expect to find the Honolulu-born, Virginia-reared actress lounging on the beach anytime soon. ''I get squirrelly after three days in Hawaii,'' she whoops. ''I'm like, 'Well, now what do we do? I don't understand; you mean we sit here some more. There's more sitting?'''

Lorelai couldn't have said it better. As much overlap as there is between Lorelai and Lauren, the actress insists she's ready for some new characters and fresh challenges.

''When I'm other places, I don't think, 'What would Lorelai Gilmore do in this situation?' '' she explains. ''I know Lorelai so well. I'm not still finding the character. So, for me, it requires much more focus to be believable in a whole new set of circumstances.''

Case in point: ''Because I Said So,'' a romantic comedy, directed by Michael Lehmann (''The Truth About Cats and Dogs'') and starring Graham, Piper Perabo and Mandy Moore as sisters with a meddling mother (Diane Keaton).

According to Graham, she and her ''fake sisters'' got along so well during production they went to dinner together regularly and attended Keaton's 60th birthday party as a group.

''We had a great time making the movie,'' says the never-married Graham, 39. ''Everybody was talking all over each other all the time. It must have been an editing nightmare because we're just, like, yapping all through it. It's if we were on the 'The View' or something.''

All three of the younger actresses bonded over their admiration for Keaton, whose starring roles in films like ''Annie Hall,'' ''Manhattan,'' ''Baby Boom'' and ''Something's Gotta Give'' have made her a romantic comedy icon.

''Diane wasn't a maternal figure,'' says Graham. ''She wanted to be one of the girls. There's a kind of preciousness about her. She'll go, 'Oh, you moron.' That's her term of endearment. So once you get used to that, and you get over how much her work has meant to you, you can have a really, really good time with her.''

Whether ''Gilmore Girls'' fans can expect an eighth season of the still-going-strong show, Graham insists she's as much in the dark as everyone else out in TV land.

''My gut feeling right now is that we could finish the show this year in a really classy, nice way, and you wouldn't feel like, 'But I need to know another year's worth of what happens to these people','' she says. ''But I don't know. What a political answer! Next, I'll be running for office.''

Sorry for the double post, but the ratings for last night's episode of Gilmore Girls

Quote:
Gilmore Girls (4.62 million) was up 360K week-to-week, delivering its best numbers since Dec. 5. Lead-out Veronica Mars, however and alas, shed another 270,000 viewers, setting a new season low of 2.47 mil.

Analysts pointed out that several shows last week got a boost as a result of college-age viewers being included in the Nielsen survey for the first time. As Washington Post TV writer Lisa de Moraes observed, "Previously, they got in on the Nielsen action only when they went home to do laundry at holidays." ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, and What About Brian; NBC's Scrubs and The Office; Fox's Til Death; and CW's Gilmore Girls all saw huge leaps of 50 percent or more in their ratings for 18-49-year-olds. Scrubs, in fact, saw its ratings in that demo double.

It's interesting to see what shows saw an increase in ratings because of the new inclusion of college students in ratings. I'm not too surprised about some of those shows listed since I know a lot of people at school who regularly watch GA, UB, and GG.

Thanks for the ratings, Karen. Thanks for the article on Lauren Graham too.

Maybe they don't have time for AI so it's numbers might go down?

Anything that getting the numbers up for GG is good.

IMO, a GREAT Review for the recent episode, expressing most of my thoughts AND adding more that I agree with.

Gilmore Girls: Farewell, My Pet - TV Squad

Quote:
(S07E14) This was the one. This was the episode that pulled together all the pieces that resulted when Team Palladino smashed everything to bits at the end of season six, when Lorelai dumped an aloof Luke and fell into bed with Christopher. It's taken way, way too long to get to this point, but what I found very interesting about this episode is, despite the fact that I wasn't emotionally involved in the Lor-Chris-Luke triangle at all this year, this resolution to one of the sides of the triangle sucked me in and got me involved again.

I think the dog funeral helped that out a little.
I like it when we see a lot of Michel and Sookie; it distracts the audience from wallowing in the relationship mishegas that AS-P generated late last year and David Rosenthal has been resolving ever-so-slowly. Even when Michel is in mourning, he's funny. Michel's is officious, demanding, and never says the words "thank you" to anyone; but there's a reason why Sookie and Lorelai like him; they see a loyal friend underneath the snooty exterior. That's why the felt his pain about losing Chin-Chin, even though the dog was "obnoxious, aloof, and he bites." Yeah, they get snippy at him -- Sookie isn't happy about Michel saying "what if it was one of your kid's funerals?", and Lor told him to back off -- but they come through for him because they know he'll be there for them. I was just happy they didn't show the entire funeral, though the look on Zack's face when they asked him to play "My Heart Will Go On" was priceless.

Of course, "being there" was the running theme tonight; Logan is for Rory, and she's starting to like it and fear it. Chris wasn't there for Lor, and she eventually realizes that Chris is the person she "wants to want" but doesn't actually want.

More on those two in a jif. I really get tired of Rory's "goody goodi-ness" sometimes. She feels guilty about the whole silly Marty thing and now she feels she has to tell Logan about every time her heart goes aflutter over some guy in a corduroy jacket. Yeah, TA Tucker is right in her "handsome nerd" wheelhouse, and we might see more of him later, but for now, all it was was some minor palpitations and fumbled speech. Jeez, even Logan seemed a little exasperated by her, even when he tells her that he's not worried by them.

By the way, Paris' list is getting a little weird by now, isn't it? Belly dancing? I do like how Rory plays along but not really. She knows Paris so well, she realizes that humoring her is better than disagreeing with her. Though she did listen to Paris speculate that Logan was "tamed" by Rory. "I mean, he was on the Colin Farrel Expressway and about to pull into the Robert Downey Jr. rest stop." Funny line, even if the references were a bit obvious.

Ok, now to Lor and Chris. It's almost as if Chris said what every fan was thinking the last four months: that he took advantage of the situation, jumped in when Lor was vulnerable, and pushed her to marry him. Lor also said what fans were thinking for the last four months: she still has feelings for Luke, but she leaped into this thing with Chris, it never felt right, and as much as she'd like it to be otherwise, he's not the one. No ****! Both Lauren Graham and David Sutcliffe did a great job playing the breakup scene... we finally saw the Chris that Lor has loved for 20 years, and Graham just rocked the hell out of her end, bringing up emotions we haven't seen in Lorelai for quite a while. At the end of the breakup scene, all I could think of was "this is the first time all season where the Gilmore world felt right."

The chances of Lor cutting Luke completely out of her life were going to be pretty low, weren't they? Maybe if they lived in a big city, or 20 miles apart, she could lose his number. But their history and proximity was just going to be too much for her to bear. And we saw that when they waved to each other from either side of the diner window. Nicely done right there.

What do you think changed Lor from saying all the right things to actually feeling what we knew she all felt? Was it Rory telling her that she'd always be on her mom's side (the dynamic that would have always made Lor and Chris a lopsided family at best... Chris may be her dad, but Rory will always side with her mom)? Was it Sookie asking her if there was no Luke, would Chris have been the guy? Or was it Zack's moving rendition of Celine Dion? Let me know in the comments.

Now we just have to wait out the reconcilliation between Luke and Lorelai. At this point, I'd just be happy if she goes back to the diner; I've always loved the banter between them there.

Mia's Back in episode 17 though played now by Kathy Baker.

More Gilmore Girls gossip, please!— Britt

Ausiello: Episode 17,... (Gratuitous exposition alert: Mia is the woman who served as a surrogate mother/grandmother to Lorelai and Rory. She's also the person who gave Lorelai her job at the Independence Inn. The role, originated by Elizabeth Franz back in Season 2, will now be played by Picket Fences' Kathy Baker.)

It's nice to see Mia back..
I don't care that much for recasts of people we haven't seen that often on the show.
I hate re-using of actors much more.
