Yes it's pretty much what we know from the last 2 years but since we get bugger all in the press here even when they are airing GG I thought I would post it.

I still think it's not decided and the CW will do all it can to have one of it's top shows back, plus Warner Bros will want those extra DVD and other sales plus the use of it's back lot for another year.

Here's some more news from Ask Ausiello - this time on a possible Season 8.

CW Exec on Gilmore: "It Was a Little Rocky" Got any Q's for Dawn Ostroff? Send 'em! The panel's about to get underway.... Just asked Dawn how confident she is that Lauren and Alexis will agree to another season of Gilmore Girls. "We are talking to them," is all she would say. On Gilmore's creative direction this season, she concedes that "the first half of the season was a little rocky. [Dave Rosenthal] was painted into a story-line corner [from last season]. I think the second half of the season will be a lot stronger." When the time comes for Gilmore to end, she'd like to give producers time to wrap things up. But it's "premature" to talk about that now. Session over. If there's anything else you want me to ask Dawn, let me know ASAP. She'll be in the house all day. Somewhat Gilmore Girls related news.. Scott Cohen (also known as Max Medina) is joining the cast of ASP's pilot for FOX called 'The Return of Jezebel James'

Cohen has taken a role in "The Return of Jezebel James," a comedy about two estranged sisters who reunite when one agrees to carry the other's baby. He'll play the boyfriend of one of the sisters. It's a reunion with Sherman-Palladino for Cohen, who played Lorelai's (Lauren Graham) boyfriend Max Medina early in the show's life.

• While NCIS (14.33 mil) was down a mil and a half, Gilmore Girls (3.65 mil) plunged a mil from Dec. 5, its last fresh eppy, and easily hit a season low, by a good 700,000 viewers.

Always been my pet idea to have a Luke-April spinoff.

As for an 8th season. Honestly the show is just plain played out. And really has been for awhile. 7 seasons is a long time and I can't blame someone like Alexis who is getting movie offers and has more than put in her time looking for other options.

What will they do with an 8th season. Will or will not Lorelai marry Luke or will she reconcile with Christopher again? Will Rory marry Logan or will she go with person to be named later? Maybe they both can have twins and the show can rename itself Star's Seventh Heaven. The show hasn't sunk into farce territory yet but it has gone on too long and is on a dejavu inducing merry-go-round.

I have no hope for anything new in a season 8. But a spinoff to start something fresh with new writers and new ideas? I can go for that.

I can see stoylines being developed that didnt have so much Rory in it. There plan B could be a 13 epi season or have Alexis only signed for a certain amount of epi's. If the CW really wants GG for the nextwork they can figure out someething. If they cant afford paying AB a crazy amoung ot make her stay they can have her signed for a couple epi's and LL or Luke and April could have more storyline. Just thinking out loud.
