But I think you had to have that buildup to get to where we got. On having new executive producers this season: “I am a huge fan of (former executive producers) Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino. I loved that writing. I had some of the best, most interesting, fun, great scenes ever. But I also think there is room for it to grow and . . . now we have these people who are so enthusiastic, who come in as fans, who come in as people who have kind of fresh voices to lend to it.”

I SO hope Heroes Wins the Golden Globe!

Best and Worst of 2006: Joel's list - TV Squad

Gilmore Girls. It was going in a bad direction even before the show's creator and muse, Amy Sherman-Palladino, left this past spring; mopey Lorelai not telling Luke how she felt until she exploded in tears and anger, Luke not dealing with his Plot Device -- uh, his new daughter April -- correctly, too many episodes with Lorelai and Rory apart. Then on the way out the door, AS-P blows up the works by having Lor sleep with Christopher, leaving new EP David Rosenthal a big mess to clean up.

And Rosenthal's been doing a pretty poor job of it: the show's been so uneven in every single way, it hurts to watch it sometimes, especially knowing how the show was in its early years. Some episodes plod along, some feel like old Gilmore, some have close-ups and big silences you never heard before, some are so hyper it's dizzying. All the while, the Lor-Christopher relationship has rung hollow, Luke broods more than usual, and Rory has become an indecisive fop with annoying friends. Yick. Let's hope this is the last season for what used to be one of my favorite shows.

Radio and Television Society takes on censorship and reality TV

Chiming in were Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane, The Office's Greg Daniels, Lost's Damon Lindelof, Gilmore Girls' Amy Sherman-Palladino and Battlestar Galactica's Ron Moore (pictured) among others. The discussion was facilitated by Jimmy Kimmel. How much would you have loved to be in that room? How much would I love to be working for any single person in that room - really, any of them?

Must be nice to marry rich then, and didn't Luke buy or pick out a lot of Lorelai favourite cloths last season.

Friends had the same problem, how could they ever afford to live in that apartment?

Also since she's not gone to Luke's for months that must saved her a bundle getting most of her coffee from hubby or the DFI.
