HBO casts vote for 2000 polls thriller "Recount" ( ... ) "Recount" will tell the stories of some of these voters as well as the Republican and Democratic teams that were deployed to Florida in the month after the election. Strong, whose acting credits include and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," pitched the idea for "Recount" to Weinstein a year and a half ago. Weinstein and longtime Spring Creek executive Len Amato then took the project to HBO. Yes, they're filming 7.22 now. They'll finish either Friday April 13th - that date is entertaining way too many fans, lol - or, by some counts, the following Monday/Tuesday.

for a new network the CW hasnt seem to won many friends from the way they have treated fans this year, with pretty much all their shows.

the upfronts are on may 17th for CW i think... so should we find out then about season 8?? or earlier??

I'm sorry but Gossip Girls? Gossip Girls?!!??! They wanna replace Gilmore Girls with that? Is it just me or does it sound like they are trying to remake a cheaper and lamer GG?

First off, Gossip GIRLS....One conversation comes to mind:

LORELAI: And what is with that name – G.G.?

RORY: It’s a cute name.

LORELAI: It is, ‘cause she’s copying me there, too. Rory, G.G. Rory, G.G. They’re identical.

RORY: They are not identical.

and then the whole 6 million viewers? GG had those ratings in S6 and wasn't Gilmore Girls voted 'Best Guilty Pleasure' sometime?
I also just looked up the show and Blake Lively is in it, aka Alexis Bledels 'Sisterhood of the traveling pants' co star and good friend! Also its suppost to be about teenage girls going to an ivy league school! Gee that sounds familar (Rory, Paris!)

I may just be paranoid or upset about the negative news but I just think its weird and suspicious. It feels like they are remaking Gilmore Girls while its still on air!

The "article" I brought over in my early morning uncaffeinated state (sorry about that) might be suspicious, but Gossip Girl is genuinely in development; it's had some mentions over the last few months.

It's based on a series of books: Gossip Girl. It's nothing like Gilmore Girls. The girls are more Madeline and Louise types than anything like Rory. There are 10 books so far and I think #11 comes out this spring.

ASP was doing the script for the movie version but that seems to be dead now.
