Jump the Shark is a website that started a few years ago. It's a phrase that was coined by a couple people when they watched an episode of Happy Days where Fonzie is at the beach in a leather jacket and swimsuit, he's surfing in the jacket and jumps over a shark. People feel that the show declined in quality and ratings at that point.

So the site is all about at which point a television show "jumps the shark" or declines in quality. If you ever watched Lois and Clark: Superman, you may feel it was at the point that they cloned Lois and she began eating frogs that that show took a turn for the worse. Some people think GG declined when April entered the picture. But it's usually an episode.

No problem. The funny thing about the whole Jump the Shark thing is that Happy Days remained number 1 for many years after that incident, so it's extremely extremely opinionated.

Maybe we'll get some of Luke's POV with the fight, that was missing in season 5 when they broke up.

MAY feel?? haha, that ws definately my first tv obsession and that was definately the moment it all went down the drain. I found that jts website around the time they killed Mulder for the 3rd time on XF and found out Scully was pregnant.

Thanks for the clarification about the number of episodes next season. I'm so relieved. I was surprised when I read that they only picked up 13 episodes since it's still one of their top shows.

Also, thanks for the news about Rina Mimoun. I love Everwood, and it's nice to know someone I trust will be involved with the show next season with ASP/DP gone. I'm sure she'll do a great job.

I love Everwood. I love Gilmroe Girls. I just hope they mesh well together.

I'm kinda excited about the Everwood exec. coming in, cause I know she likes to follow through with story arcs and everything... but the only thing that bothers me is that she likes to keep couples apart... hopefully, as a consultant, she won't be able to make those major decisions about L&L getting back together, and L&R...

Is there any news as to whether or not Milo will guest star again on the next season?

I don't believe there is any news about that as of yet... Thus far no scripts have been released either,

Ausiello posted TVGuide's version of what this year's Emmy ballots should look like in a world run by them. Just thought I'd bring this over. Hope it wasn't posted before...

http://community.tvguide.com/thread....adID=700002499

They would like to see...
Supporting Comedy Actress
Kelly Bishop (Emily, Gilmore Girls)
Sarah Chalke (Elliot, Scrubs)
Jaime Pressly (Joy, My Name Is Earl)
Judy Reyes (Carla, Scrubs)
Jessica Walter (Lucille, Arrested Development)

By now, Chalke and Reyes have grown into marvelously nuanced comediennes, Bishop earned the right to look down her own nose as the tube's snootiest socialite, and Walters, of course, remained as intoxicating as the martinis she swilled as Development's dragon lady. But Pressly? Who knew? Her take on white trash is a treasure.

Lead Comedy Actress
Marcia Cross (Bree, Desperate Housewives)
Lauren Graham (Lorelai, Gilmore Girls)
Lisa Kudrow (Valerie, The Comeback)
Tichina Arnold (Rochelle, Everybody Hates Chris)
Mary-Louise Parker (Nancy, Weeds)

Mamma mia! You don't need maternal instincts to recognize the sharp turns by Arnold, Parker and Cross, all of whom hit the mother lode (Cross, miraculously, pulled off her feat even as Housewives went to hell). Underrated Comeback kid Kudrow gave a tour de force that nobody watched. But once and for all, people, what does Graham have to do to get a nomination?!

Kristen from EOnline (whatever) chatted with Matt C, Scott, Kelly Bishop and Ed Hermann at the CW thingy about ASP's departure a bit. She also briefly talks to Matt about his role next year Here's the link to her site:

Check the video clip.

Thanks for that Steph. That was amusing. Scott was entertaining--I thought he was drunk at first. lol--not a put down, that's honestly how I saw him though.

Ed sounded like the whole ASP leaving thing was a very hush-hush topic that isn't supposed to be discussed.

That was cute. It's nice getting to hear from Ed and Kelly about the show and about ASP leaving. Thanks for the clip!

GG is mentioned in the June 2 edition of EW in the 2005/06 ratings article and also the RIP WB/UPN article.
