Must be nice being a star! I didn't record the Emmys, but I did happen to catch Alexis presenting, she looked really good. I liked her dress.

‘Gilmore Girls’: Second Revival at Netflix Possible Despite Amazon Deal | TVLine

Pretty interesting clause.

Michael Ausiello is like an overexcited dog, going after the smallest bit.

^ Haha, yes he is!

Of course, that’s hardly a guarantee that there will be a second revival. I’m told the clause was included in case the stars aligned creatively (i.e. Amy and Dan felt inspired to pen a “sequel” and any/all potential scheduling hurdles could be cleared).
I'm not getting my hopes up. I actually kinda don't want another season, I was happy the way they left things, even with Rory's pregnancy.

I know.

I'm fine either way.

Well, I wanted more, but that's probably it. At least in foreseeable future.

At least we've gotten a very open ending.

Rory could either marry Logan and become a Mrs. Huntzberger or she could raise her child alone and eventually hook up with Jess. In my opinion it's 50% : 50% probability for either.
So, everything is left to our imagination.

Same here. Every major answer was answered and the show came full circle. I know some fans don't want to believe who the father is, but the revival made that pretty obvious for me, so just more episodes to answer that question...

Gilmore Girls is my favorite show ever, because the show...has never known a dull moment, the quality was always there (even later seasons imo), and I don't want them to risk that, you know?

Then again, IF the stars would allign..I'd watch it anyway, because...I love the actors, I love the characters, etc.

Agreed about Ausiello. It must have been hard for him to not talk about the revival when Amy was interviewing him for that book event. They spoke of Gilmore Girls, but not about more episodes.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'd watch it, I love the characters too much NOT to, but it would be difficult watching her potentially mar one of the SLs I love. I really don't think it'll happen, though, we were super lucky to get the revival in the first place.

I was just thinking about "full circle" and similarities between mothers and daughters (Lane is similar to Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Kim is similar to her mother) and then it just occurred to me: Is Lorelai a combination of both of her parents?

Lorelai is just as judgmental and strong-minded as Emily, Emily also very deeply loves her daughter (although she is too proud to show it), almost as strong as Lorelai loves Rory - on the other hand Richard is more distant parent.

But Lorelai is entrepreneur just like her father, they are quite similar in that sence. And neither Richard nor Lorelai married a person, beloved by their family (Pennilyn Lott and Christopher). Actually, they both married people, detested by their families. Richard's mother tried to destroy Richard's relationship with Emily, and Lorelai's mother wanted to destroy Lorelai's relationship with Luke.

Just like Richard, Lorelai did what she personally wanted, but unlike Richard she is strong-minded as Emily. And such a combination is ... well, Lorelai is very rebellious.

Smart thinking

Jen, it didn't come across like you wouldn't watch a revival Just mentioned that I agreed with you

I agree, Tanaja, that Lorelai is a reflection of her parents in certain ways.

That's awesome, Marinz!

When was AYITL being released in the States again? Late November or something?
