Rory and Logan are over. She only needs to know how it happened in case she brings him back. What is there to bring up in the movie that happened in season 7 if the movie plays 5 years later ?

Maybe Chris dies and Gigi comes to live with L&L?

I like the idea of 5 years later, just enough time for them to be married and have a 2-3yo and maybe at so point Lorelai finds out she's expecting again?

I'm interested in that particular sentence as well. Can you explain it? When did they complain? After it was over or while they were still shooting? What about?

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm disagreeing with the idea that former viewers would flock back to the show in season 8 and the ratings would skyrocket even with L/L back together. Wow.. That's so great!! But what did she mean about the complaints? Complaining about what? And it was during all this past year while shooting s7? Interesting ...

I think a lot of things happen during these last two years that we don't know .. so I don't think it's quite fair to talk about it as it was the truth.

And I like ASP, I never hated her, I'm very grateful for the amazing show and characters she gave us and I don't think what she did in s6 destroyed the show, I think there was a lot of good SLs that could have happened in s7 after what happened in s6, if it had been better handled, well written and not so inconsistent (and that for me was DR's choice and bad management) so I'm really glad she's thinking about doing a movie!

She just said that it was really different for all the people involved and I think she was implying it was specifically difficult for Lauren because Amy was really the voice of Lauren; she said that she and Lauren were so in sync that she knew exactly how to write for her. I didn't catch the Kelly part, but my friend did, so I'm trusting she mentioned her, too...

I think it would have been Lorelai to Rory. She has said crazy stuff like that before to her more then once.

It's funny, not mushing, it's in character for Lorelai to say something like that to Rory and it would be able to make everyone laugh as they say goodbye to the wonderfulness that is Gilmore Girls...I don't know, I could seriously see that being the last lines and me being totally happy with them! I am soooo glad she didn't give away the last lines at that event though. I read them and almost fell off my chair! I was going to go scream into my pillow and then I read the next sentence.

Sure I have hated some of the decissions she has made in the past and been mad at her for it like with storylines and characters and if she hadn't left, we probably would have another season on the way right now but I never hated her. Not for storyline, not for S6, not for leaving...I actually understood why she would leave.

Amy is a wonderful person for bringing us this amazing show and there is no way I can hate her for anything she does now! This show has basically set her in my good book for life.

If it's possible - can you check with your friend? From what I get those complaints really came while S7 was going on - not after, right?

IMO it all comes down to promotion and "word of mouth" if we had S8 and they promoted it right then the word would spread and rating could go up, maybe not back to the S5 levels but betting than S7 were.

5 years into the future I think a year would be better for Rory/Logan to reunite if she brings him back. Thats the only way I would watch the movie. Or maybe they would be married if she ignores S7 and liked them together. Thats cool with me
