I didn't mind season 6 and 7 either. I liked both as much as the rest of the series.
Not a big fan of Christopher, but I don't hate him either, and in some way I think it's good to have them finally realise they don't belong together.
I actually like April, she's cool. Only problem was Anna, I didn't like her at all.

I agree with you Ingmar, although, I think that if Emily, and Logan for that matter, weren't pulling her into their worlds, L/R wouldn't have had that split. Going into the real would, my mother and I pretty much had a Lorelai/Rory relationship and we never had a fight, yes, disagreements on things here and there, but none that ever developed into even a little fight. She was my best friend right up to the day she passed away. I wish that more people could have that kind of relationship with their parent(s). Oops, got off track a bit so back to the subject of the seasons. Even though there were some bumps in the road through out, I did/do enjoy all of the seasons and how they did grow up along the way. Life would be boring if it were perfect so I liked that they did have these bumps and they were written well and in the end all was heading in the right direction. I feel that some of the bumps needed to happen to get closure on them.

Anja, I liked April, too, and I think that she would have fit right into Lorelai & Luke's lives just fine if it weren't for Anna. Although she and Lorelai did have the same ideas about keeping their daughters out of there relationships with men until they were sure it would be permanent, I think that Anna went a bit too far. Luke was part at fault, too, though, because this was all new to him and he did miss so much, he didn't want to do anything that would make Anna cut him off from April again so he just kept Lorelai out of it which caused most of the problems between him and Lorelai.

^This! I would always find something else to enjoy about the show even if my favorite characters were having trouble. There was ALWAYS something to laugh about, and that's ultimately the reason I love the show so much.

S7 was my least favorite main because of *shudder* Chris/Lorelai *shudder* but I also did not like what the did with Lane. I did not like that she got pregnant right away and apparently by accident, and it pretty much took away her dreams of being a musician. We all know that it should have been Lorelai (and LUKE) with the twins and Lane and Hep Alien should have gone off on that tour that was offered to just Zach. I know, it just made them "grow up" like was said in earlier posts, but didn't like it

I did like Luke/April's relationship, Luke (finally!) fighting Anna for custody. I liked Sookie and Jackson's antics, and Taylor still being Taylor. Tho, I hope Luke sued the pants off him for Kirk driving that car into his diner. That was just crazy.

Aw, there are plenty of musicians who continue a career in music with children/family etc. I just see it as temporarily suspending their band tour. Oh, I loved seeing Luke fight for custody of April and the letter Lorelai wrote on his behalf!

Haha, yeah I hope he sued Taylor's ass off! Aw man, that would've made for great episode material!

Yeah, never could figure out why Luke fixed the dinner or why Taylor's insurance didn't pay to have the work done. It was all his idea to do it and put Kirk behind the wheel of his car. As far as I know, Kirk never did get a drivers license let alone take driving lessons. I can't see Luke suing Taylor.

Was really glad that Luke fought for partial custody of April. What got me though was how fast it was done. I have seen custody cases last for several months. I know, they don't have that kind of time when it comes to tv shows so they had to get it done quickly. He won and that is all that matters

I didn't really care for S7 as a whole because of CL. And I'm not a RL shipper, so I didn't really care for their storylines. I did enjoy certain scenes and moments (LL stuff) during the season though.

I was talking with someone on twitter the other day who is binge watching the series for the first time and she's already on the beginning of the 7th season. She loves it, even season 7 so far. I invited her to join our forum and gave her the link, so hopefully we'll see her pop up in the next week or so?

when I watched season 7 a couple years later and knowing it is the last season I found it not so bad anymore, while rewatching I got a lot more upset about what a jerk Luke was when he found out about April (OT: she got big, just saw her on NCIS NOLA)

Aw, I didn't think Luke was intentionally being a jerk, he was just scared to lose April and pushed Lorelai away in the process which was unfortunate. If only they had communicated better with each other that season!

I agree, Luke wasn't intentionally being a jerk but the person who usually calls him on his behavior, Lorelai, was not herself either. The episode where Luke finds out about April was just on ABC Family today. The scene right before was when Luke told Lorelai no secrets, and then they make a hypocrite out of him. It was just so upsetting.

And, with my earlier comment about Lane, I didn't mean to imply that she wouldn't still be a musician in later life, I just didn't like that she, and what seemed like every other person on the show got pregnant (Lane, Liz, Sookie). I'm surprised they didn't knock up Lulu, too. Tho, a Kirk/Lulu wedding would have been fun to see!

The actress who plays April is also on the ABC Family show, Switched at Birth.

Yep. It was OOC for both of them. It was frustrating to watch.

Many viewers are not patient lol so they have to speed up
it was right he was fighting for April, it was not his fault he couldnt be there for her..
and it lead to a very touchy moment for me - to whom it may concern...
