I'd say it was a number of things but I'd bet if Amy had been signed to run things for S8 then they would have stayed, most jumped at the chance to do a TV movie with Amy.

Okay folks,
since I didn't find any details -other than on amazon- about the DVD Set, I thought I'd write some down.
My set arrived yesterday!
Why I didn't write then you ask? Well, I didn't have enough money to pay for customs, so the post man didn't give it to me.

For those of you living in Germany: Be prepaired to pay 29,38EUR on arrival. IF you have bought your set off amazon for 160$. They actually add the shipping to the calculation basis. Yes, not as cheap as you wish.
ANYway... let's take a look at some pictures:

In writing: The outer box is made of plastic, the inner box, holding the set DVDs is cardboard. The season sets are cardboard too.
There is a magnet inside the overlapping lashes of the outer box that closes it.
The episode guide as well as the gilmoreism book are paperback, no hardcover.

I have not had the time to search for any easter eggs, but I doubt there are any since everybody says the DVDs are exactly the same as in the set boxes.

I still hate we got NO extras for S6.

BTW - the DVDs them selves in the S7 set Chris is on one disc with Luke, is this the case in the series set or are there different picks on the DVDs for every season?

Ah, right. The DVDs themselves.
They don't have any pictures on them. They just have a texture -the same as on the outside of the Season set- their individual number, the season they belong to and the "Gilmore Girls" banner printed on them.

And commentarieS is a little exaggerated, huh?

As for the S1 unaired scenes - they weren't hidden, but on disc 6, one scene after the other. So they're not in the Complete set?

Checked Disk 6 and even though I found the "extra scenes" to Emily In Wonderland etc on it again, I just can't find the bloopers ... you sure they were on that disk?
Maybe I'm just blind ... ooooor, they're on a different disk.

There weren't any bloopers. Just the extra scene for 108, 110 and EiW. But no bloopers.

There never were any bloopers in the DVDs. The only bloopers I can think of were from a WB special. They were clips from S1, I think. With Alexis falling off the bed, Lorelai saying "I love you" to Luke at the festival, and Lauren getting caught on the table cloth at a FNL.

Thanks for all the pictures of the set! Is the S1 cast picture at the gazebo a version that they never released. I don't remember ever seeing that specific shot.

Yes, that's the bloopers I knew about ... I just thought I'd have them somewhere on a DVD Set...

I think you're right about the gazebo shot. It was not published before. I like it.

I definitely hadn't seen that before with Kelly looking that way. I also think that I haven't seen the exact pic of the S7 thing with Ed and Kelly.

And yes - sadly they never put those bloopers on DVD. And I bet they had more than just those 3 - too bad.

Most fans would have loved a bloopers reel, we know they had them, even Lauren talked about some of the mistakes once but why not put them on the DVD?
