I didn't see the scene nor do I want to. Its amazing how one badly written season can ruin an entire show.

I didn't think it was that bad (maybe I just miss the show so much LOL) yes it could have been better and the direction and camera work in the last bit was crap but I like the idea. Showing how Lorelai is changing and moving on while Luke is now part of the town, maybe they know what happened and feel sorry for him?

Thanks caf for the new links, should I add them to the first post?

it was that bad! I thought the show being done would give me perspective and it has...they should be ashamed that season 7 is a part of the series

I wasn't offended by the deleted scene... It definitely wasn't a great work of art, but seriously, what were we supposed to expect from these writers/directors? Most of the season was bad. The only thing I found weird about the deleted scene was the slow motion thing... That was not typical GG. Other than that little weird moment, I didn't find anything so shockingly horrible about it.

IMO the 'slow motion' might have just been a trick. It was in town so I think the car was just travelling slow so it looked like it was going slow?.

Since Amy came up with the turtle the show went downhill No one liked her idea and when she didn't get her deal she gave the show the last whammy. For me the show was already lost with Partings but they did a pretty good job to rub salt into the wound with season 7

Amazon.com: Gilmore Girls - The Complete Seventh Season: DVD: Lauren Graham,Alexis Bledel

Quote:
All good things must end, but not all good things end well. Gilmore Girls is one of the most original and entertaining television programs ever to grace the CW. Lorelai and Rory Gilmore (Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel) star as the quick-witted and heavily caffeinated mother-daughter duo at the heart of this quirky drama. Normally smarter than the average show, the seventh season represents a slump in an otherwise brilliant run. The seventh season is the first without series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, and her absence is evident. Smart characters make dumb decisions and dumb characters spend too much time on screen. The normally fluid plot slumbers along as Rory's father Christopher returns as Lorelai's love interest, Rory gets even more serious with Logan, while Luke and Lorelai try to repair their damaged relationship. But it's not all bleak. Highpoints of the season include the birth of Lane's twins, plus the long-awaited cameo by Christiane Amanpour, which sends Rory into a tizzy: "I can't meet Christiane Amanpour in my pajamas!" The counterbalance of the quirky Stars Hollowians, which is half the fun of Gilmore Girls in previous seasons, is gone or, worse, awkwardly shoehorned in. Still, for fans of the series the final season is a must-own, if only to find out what happens to the characters they loved and laughed with for so many years. --Megan Chaffee
Good summary!

Just to say that GG dvds are number 8 in the top 10 sales of amazon.

This is my favorite part. It's exactly right.

There is one other great review on Amazon and it's fun to read the comments about it.

So many hated the season, makes me sad. I wonder how the people who worked on it so hard feel, and not just the actors. The moment ASP/DP left they were screwed, it would always be compared to the first 6 with Amy in control. I do at times think some are over critical but in general it was the worst of a great show. Pity ASP didn't work something out or many sign on for S8 and then Lauren and the others might have stayed.
