I don't think that description is going to be what's on the back of the box. I was looking at the pages for the other seasons on that site, and the sections under "Editor's Note" are not the descriptions from the backs.

The worst is that they make it sound like Lorelai's marriage is something good, that it's the "whole package" that she's been hoping for most of her life, and not the mistake that it really was. It's a horrible description for the season, especially when they stress the fact that it's the last one of the show, and give the impression that Lorelai is finally getting what she wanted all along.

I would be fine if they mentioned the marriage, but as something negative or as a mistake, because that's what really was, and not as something to deceive the innocent minds.

I'm eager and scared to know what pics will be on the back cover.

I honestly just think it's an editor's note.

I don't get the impression that they're making it sound like the "whole package" at all. It just says "will she finally get married?" I think it's just a bad summary, and it ignores Rory's storyline. Lorelai herself said the marriage wasn't right, and the show ended with an LL kiss, so it doesn't bother me how they advertise it. I know how it ended, and those who haven't seen it will find out.

ETA: I don't think the people who design these things are trying to please a certain ship. They're probably just trying to feature the major storylines. I do like the pics of LG and AB though.

Lorelai's life goes from bad to worse when she losses the love of her life only to waste most of the season married to the wrong guy. A crushed Luke gets to know is daughter better, then has to go to court to keep seeing her. The townies show up at some point to hassle Lorelai and Chris. Lorelai finally ends up finding love again so just go to the final five minutes and save yourselves hours of pain! Oh and Rory has a storyline but we can't remember what it was.

So true. Rory honestly had no good storyline whatsoever this entire season. Nothing worth watching, nothing worth remembering. This season had rarely any good Lorelai/Rory scenes, which was what the whole show was about. And yet, I'm still buying the 7th season only to watch the last six or seven episodes.

thats probably why Alexis didn't want to continue. it was mostly focused on Lorelai.

Apparently the same goes for Emily - but then, right, she didn't have one.

Caught some S7 Promo's on german TV. They're like this:

First shot: LC sitting on the couch after the ugh wedding ugh and L staring at the ring
2nd shot: Luke punching Chris
several other shots and then end shot (which is longer) LC and the Eiffelturm - UGH!

Next Promo starting with Rory hugging C and ending with LC in the car watching the movie. All you see is C, C, C - so annoying.

Oh and of course not one Emily shot - but well I should be used to it by now.

Ugh so true! None of Rory's storyline was any good. She was pretty much just added in there cause she had to be, so every once and a while, the writers would hand her a bone just cause she's the star and then go back to focusing on their golden couple L/C.

I'm surprised they didn't replace Rory in the main credits with Chris.

The main relationship that made this whole show possible, Lorelai and Rory's, was completely forgottan up until the last episode, sometimes they would throw a phone call between them or one scene at the beginning of the episode at FND (another part of the show that was shoved to the back burner and hardly even there) in there, again, just because they had too, but then go back to L/C.

You guys are right, the show did become The Lorelai and Chris show. They should have renamed the show 'The Hayden Girls' (btw by the plural s at the end of Girl, I'm not talking about Rory

Perhaps, but there's still so many non-shippers out there who looked forward to an LL wedding - I met people all last summer who'd kind of drifted away but they still wanted to know what the wedding was like. They had faith in the show, they assumed the season ended well and they'd catch up at some point.

Also, it's pretty clear that a vast majority of fans didn't like L/C, whether they "shipped" or not. I do think that copy is misleading and many non-obsessed fans will buy the DVDs assuming it's LL who got married.

I agree, I know tons of people who are/were casual viewers and the majority of them hated the fact that Lorelai was with Chris in the beginning of the season and they wanted her to marry Luke. But I just think this season was written so poorly that it would be hard to find a way to advertise Lorelai's storyline in a good way... even if they played up the LL angle, viewers who are watching the season for the first time would probably be disappointed that LL don't really interact much until the second half of the season. Honestly, I think Craig's summary is the most accurate.

When I buy the DVDs, I will probably watch scenes from the last half of S7... I like the last five eps especially, as well as some R/L moments, but since they ignored Rory there won't be many.

ITA and I hate misleading advertising, so many fans were screwed in the last season and no one really had a happy ending, this is why we needed S8 or a TV movie.

L&L - a kiss at the end, WTF after a year of pain!
C&L - a marriage that was at the wrong time and without DS in the credits we all knew it would not last!
R&L – A break up and no closure at the very end of the show after a 3 year romance!

At least Amy just screwed the L&L fans, David went all out to screw us all!

BTW – just listened to this weeks TV Guide podcast and they bought up the movie and MA joked it was about to go into production, of course it is NOT. I think it was a lead in to what ASP is doing.

In Belgium, the season 7 of the series released on 14 November but solely in Dutch and french step, which does not like the French when we put online a petition which we pass to Warner once large numbers of people having signed.

Fans include francophone Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Canada.

Apparently, the DVD will not include a French version (dubbed) and a lot of people in Belgium speak only French and not flamish (I think that's how you say "flamand" in English) I think that's the problem.
