haha. My dad raised me on Carole King, so I was very happy that that was the theme song, when I started watching Gilmore Girls.

Heh, punk was quite popular when I was in high school (early 90s). I was never a big fan but listening to it now is kind of nostalgic.

I grew up with Carole King and James Taylor blaring on my parent's stereo so the GG theme song is pretty special to me and I associate it with family.

I feel like there’s 2 main eras of punk

the late 70s/early 80s and the early 90s

Jess - so did you mean late 70s/early 80s, early 90s, or both?

I grew up with late 90s/early 2000s pop punk/punk rock mostly but I’ve been getting more into the older stuff

I don't know, it feels like each decade had its own version of punk rock but I feel like the most mainstream punk emerged in the 90s with Green Day or The Offspring.

Allison - Which bands in particular have you gotten into recently?

I guess mostly the older stuff so like Ramones

but I wouldn’t say there’s a particular band besides that one

that’s probably my favorite band though out of the ones I’ve been listening to
